Whew.........just got home and picked this game out. Hope you all are oding well.
Detroit vs St. Louis:
Detroit:
Edwin Jackson on the mound tonight. Jackson is 2-0 in his last 3 starts, with an ERA of 1.23 and a WHIP of 0.77.
St. Louis:
Wellemeyer is 0-2 in his last 3 and a +7 ERA. HOwever, Detroit is one of the worst offensive teams in the AL.
Detroit is averaging less than 3 runs per game in their last 6, and I hope Jackson shuts down the St. Louis bats.
PICK: Under 8.5 (2 units)
Record: 18-11-1 (+10 units)
OK boys, let's cash some tickets tonight. Hey T4,,,,Good Luck tonight!!!!!!!!!

OK, I will put down 1 unit. Is this the blind-leading-the-blind, or just 2 blind mice?

mcbain,
Everyone goes through streaks were they can't win/lose for periods of time. Something a wise person taught me was while staying in the red streak, cut it back a little until things start to turn around for you. Thanks for sharing `em and good luck with `em.

Welcome JustFlipACoin, glad you found the "summer time" home.
Multiple accounts in how I use that means the wager was placed at either more than one book (two plus) or the same book booked by my other half at the same location(s). Not all wagers can be made from one account. Off hand, sorry I don't but all one needs to find it is go to the main forums page, scroll down until you find the Handicaper's Contest (sub)Forum. The guy you're looking for is bbyhill as he's added over 30 units from his last 23 selections - lucky me, he's my opponent this month. Get `em while he's hot.
Now don't forget about added to thread daily since you can't say you didn't know where it was.

You're right TA, and I connected with the TOR/PHI Over earlier today (although I did not post it), so I already have more wins than yesterday!

Was on this prior to the news that AP is expected to sit this one out tonight & it won't matter to me if he's in or out. Have DET money-lined to re-coup what I've lost on them this series plus three units spread over the accounts. Ironically, my post count matches it.

Spaceviews,
Response was just sent within the past couple minutes. Most times I'll hang around for a couple minutes after posting the evening games but today was not one of them. Try to remember, I don't live on here 24/7/365 and spend the majority of my time doing things with my family. Add your thoughts to the thread in the up coming days, there's plenty of season left.

Foghorn,
Where'd you play and what's your true (not what you tell people) handicap?
Rodney needs to go. I'm sorry but you don't walk that many in the 9th and get a wild pitch - thankfully the runners were sleeping and didn't move up. That game ending double play was lucky as he is NOT under control while on the mound.
I believe it was Eddie Money who sang "You can't keep a good man down". Now all I'd like to do is put a couple of these type of results together back-to-back-to-back every three or four days but I'll gladly take any night that ends with there more in the accounts (once graded - haven't checked (yet)) than I started the day with.

Hey there folks. TA, get BobbyHill over in this thread. That guy is eating his wheaties. I just took a look at that.
(Good thing Cubs game will probably get rained out; gives me a good excuse to not bet a game they'll probably lose).
People are getting back on the trains out of Chicago; throwin in the towel. Hahah. Ah, anyways; I can't bet against my boys. They are playing great....just cannot hit.
I leaned towards on the Phillies/Orioles; however my three factors didn't register. It looks like a halfway decent wager though. Not today.

Hey TA.........I golf mostly in Oakland County. I have some friends who belong to private clubs, and they invite me along occasionally, and I have another friend who is a starter at another course. On courses that range in the 6500-6700 yard category, I shoot between 85-90. Sometimes a little higher, sometimes a little lower.
Last night shot 41/47 at Indianwood CC.........struggled on the last 2 holes. Love the game and trying to get better. Do you swing the clubs much?
CONGRATS on last night, wished I would have been able to tail along.

I'm getting an early start today so I don't get side-tracked.
Chicago White Sox @ Cincinnati Reds
Chicago:
Contreras is throwing for the Sox. He had an awful begining to the season, was sent to the minors and was just brought back 2 starts ago. In his 16 innings since returning, he has given up no runs and only 3 hits. Chicago has scored 5, 4, 5, 7 runs in their last 4 games.
Cincinnati:
The Red Legs have Arroyo on the hill tonight. He is going in the opposite direction of Contreras. After starting the season pretty good, he is 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA and a WHIP of 1.67 in his last 3 starts. The Reds have scored 0, 4, 7, 1 runs in their last 4 and they are batting .179 vs right handers in their last 10 games.
Variables: Thome may not play due to rest, and Encarnacion and Votto are out for Cincy. CWS have won 4 or their last 6, and Cincy has won 2 of their last 6. Chicago's BP is a little worse than Cincy's in the last 10.
I really like this game, I feel like I am missing something.
PICK: Chicago (+3 units)
Record: 19-11-1 (+12.0 units)
I might put more on this later, if it's still looking good.

He sure is theberb2 and I'm ten games on hand so not overly concerned/worried about him being up 27+ at this point but don't want to see him get out any further. I think for next season there might be a good idea to put a cap on the maximum allowed per month and think the 20% will be easier for more folks.
Like much of your card but not all of it has action. The continue to be a steady stream and getting close to/with - still a little early for it but promising returns so far.
If you're thinking CUBS get wet try to avoid the Tigers as it's heavy out there right now and doesn't look like it's going to let up or go away - still plenty of time for it to happen but right now, not worth stepping out. AG has struggled recently and Rodney damned near caused me to end up at the hospital (not really) because of his poor outing; translation poor SP and RP = play against/team or game total or pass.
The O's at home is a "safer" route for "whatever" reason.

Oakland Country has some nice courses. Over the past three years I've played at Beech Woods, Birmingham CC, Evergreen Hills, Normandy Oaks, Rackham, Red Oaks and Royal Oak Golf Club. The one that made me feel most uncomfortable was Birmingham CC - the employees were fine, it was mostly the membership that *ahem* needs to accept things have changed and that this is not the 50's or 60's anymore. I felt bad for my friend Ron who invited me there as his guest. Still golf with him but not there any longer. Rackham wasn't as bad as Birmingham but there was an aura of snubness around. I generally hit 50+/-5 per nine and the funny thing is it doesn't matter the yardage or the number of times I've played (or not) the course. My downfall is I have a slice that I never corrected when I was younger and over the years have learned how to play into it so that now it's second nature to me. Last summer I had a conscious effort to slow the swing down to straight out the shots, that worked but I lost up to 25% distance and my score card would rarely see under 125 for eighteen.
I use a cart to go around two to four times a week on average but right now I've been told to stay off the courses by my doctor while I'm healing. I still go hit a bucket every other day but it's not the same thing.
Thank you, some days/nights things fall into place. There will be others like it this season.

The juice is all the same, -110, and thinking about taking a shot to win 5 units. Thanks for the input.
