The results from round 1 are in, and play begins again tomorrow with everyone back at the 60 unit starting bankroll. I guess theres something to the contest creator getting knocked out in the first round (see sam) but its cool - i'll be back to break that hex with a sweet ass structured NFL season long contest
The only thing I will change for next years baseball contest is reseeding after each round factoring in your net units, and make the daily limit be 20% instead of 15%

Even though I live in Calgary, I have cheered for the Buffalo Sabres since I was 8 (30 years and counting).
I seem to like underdog teams which I guess is why I don't like the Wings, they just win too much and I am sick of it! I acknowledge they are great but it would be nice to see someone else get the job done.
Living in Canada though, and dealing with the sickening TV overcoverage of a certain team, I can honestly say I hate the Leafs more than any other team.
But enough about hockey. I love baseball as well and have quite a bit of knowledge about pitchers so I may post a few ideas/picks in here the odd time.

I get your point about wanting to see other teams and were it not the Wings, I'd probably agree with you. Saw games at Olympia, The Joe and have gone on the road to see them. I appreciate the talent level as a team they have. One thing I'm grateful for is channel 9 which is CBC. Might not always agree with the announcers and/or commentators but it gives another perspective on the game.
Not a problem, just been in a rut and wanted to break it up for a change. There have been times when I've proven to be human by forgetting the decimal point, so to me it was a valid question.

Boston:
Brad Penny is on the mound tonight, as the Sox look to win their 8th straight vs the Yankees this year. Penny is struggling in his last 3 starts, going 1-1 with an ERA of 5.29 and a WHIP of 1.47.....but, more importantly, the Sox are only batting .215 vs left handers over their last 10 games.
I'm going to go with the Yankees to break the string.

As usual, nice write-up but I'm passing on the game. Then you must have seen the Pistons play at Cobo Hall too. Don't pick on theberb2 too much, after all he roots for the Cubs and there's an upcoming series against them soon.
