bet365 Alberta betting app 🟢

One of the best sports betting apps in Canada is bet365, and it’s set to give Albertans a user-friendly experience on both desktop and mobile. I find the desktop site smooth and easy to navigate, with clear menus and a well-designed bet slip. The app is also available on both Android and iOS, so it’s easy to bet on the go.

Where bet365 really stands out for me is its live streaming and live betting. It covers thousands of popular events, with plenty of betting options (its European soccer markets are pretty much unmatched). bet365 also boasts a solid range of deposit and withdrawal methods like credit/debit cards, Neteller, Paysafecard, and wire transfers. Once I’ve made a deposit, it’s super simple to jump in and start placing bets.

Sports Interaction Alberta betting app 🟠

Sports Interaction offers a top-tier betting experience, with an impressive number of markets and betting options. There’s definitely a lot to explore, especially if you like having plenty of choices.

However, one of Sports Interaction's main drawbacks is its lack of a loyalty program. When the app officially launches in Alberta, I'd like to see the sportsbook step up its existing user experience to stay on par with some of the bigger names in the industry.

I find Caesars Sportsbook stands out as a regulated iGaming operator in other locations, such as Ontario. It offers a safe and secure betting environment, and will surely bring the same to Alberta.

There are hundreds of betting options to choose from, which makes it easy for me to explore different sports markets and find wagers I’m interested in. The banking side is also really smooth, with efficient options that make deposits and withdrawals quick and hassle-free.

It’s also great on mobile. There are dedicated apps for both iOS and Android, so I can bet wherever I am. I also appreciate that it supports Interac, which is a super convenient and familiar payment option for Albertans.

How we test and rank Alberta betting apps

At SBR, we do the digging to find the best books worth your time and money. When considering the best Alberta betting sites, here are at some of the factors I'm looking at and how they affect our rankings:

🏦 Banking and payout speed

What I'm looking at: One of the first things I do is head straight to each app's banking section to see what payment options are available for Alberta users. From there, I'm looking at how quickly deposits go through, how long withdrawals take, and whether there are any fees involved.

What earns a high ranking: A solid mix of trusted payment methods, seamless deposits, and fast payouts (ideally processed within a few hours).

💰 Odds and lines

What I'm looking at: By comparing the same betting markets across multiple Alberta sportsbooks, we get a sense of who’s offering the best value. Even small differences in odds can add up to significant gains over time.

What earns a high ranking: Competitive odds across the board, with bonus points for sportsbooks that regularly offer bet boosts to improve potential returns.

📈 Key features

What I'm looking at: This is a broad category that covers everything from live betting and cash-out options to same-game parlay builders. More than just offering flashy features, I like to see how well they actually perform in real use.

What earns a high ranking: Features that are easy to use, reliable, and work smoothly for both beginners and experienced bettors.

🔐 Security and trust

What I'm looking at: As Alberta's iGaming regulations are still evolving, I'm looking closely at licensing, security measures, and responsible gaming tools.

What earns a high ranking: Apps that are properly authorized, use strong encryption like SSL, and offer extra protections such as Face ID or similar security features.

👩‍💻 Customer support

What I'm looking at: When testing customer support, I reach out through each available support channel to see how quickly I can connect with an agent and how effectively they handle my questions.

What earns a high ranking: Quick response times, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and minimal reliance on AI-only support systems.

How to start using AB betting apps

Before you place a bet on any mobile sportsbook, there are a few key steps to take. You’ll need to pick a reliable app, create an account, fund it, find the game or event you’re interested in, choose your bet, and then lock it in. Here’s a closer look at how each step works:

📱 1. Choose a sports betting app

When choosing a sports betting app, there are a few things worth paying attention to. You’ll want something easy to use, with plenty of betting options, competitive odds, and dependable customer support.

It’s also important to make sure the app is licensed and regulated so you know you’re betting in a safe and secure environment. Checking reviews and comparing features can help you find the right fit, along with looking at the operator’s overall reputation and trustworthiness. Any of the mobile betting apps featured on this page have already been vetted and are considered reliable.

✍️ 2. Sign up

To create a new account, follow these simple steps:

  1. Use one of our provided links to launch the sportsbook website or app.
  2. Tap on the the "Sign Up" or "Register" or "Join" button.
  3. Complete the required sign-up information, including personal details (this is standard practice).
  4. Agree to the terms and conditions, then finish signing up by verifying your account if required.
  5. Once your account is created, log in and take a look at the platform's betting options.

🏦 3. Deposit

To fund your account on a sports betting app or website:

  1. Head to the “Cashier,” “Deposit,” or “Banking” section of the app.
  2. From there, pick your preferred payment method, like credit or debit card, e-wallet, or bank transfer.
  3. Enter your payment details along with the deposit amount.
  4. Confirm the transaction, and the funds will show up in your account right away or after a short processing time.
  5. Available deposit options may vary depending on the sportsbook.
  6. Always ensure you use a secure and trusted payment method when making deposits.

📈 4. Place your bet

Placing a bet on a sports betting app is the easiest part of the process. After logging into your account:

  1. Look through the available sports and events to find the market you'd like.
  2. Select the desired outcome, enter your stake, and review your bet slip to make sure it all looks good.
  3. Once you're satisfied, lock in your bet with the "Confirm" or "Submit" or "Place Bet" button.

The bet will be processed immediately. If successful, your winnings will be calculated based on the odds.

💰 5. Withdraw

To withdraw your winnings from a sports betting app or website:

  1. Locate the "Withdrawal" or "Cashier" section.
  2. Choose your preferred withdrawal method, which is usually the same as your deposit method.
  3. Enter the withdrawal amount, ensuring it meets any of the app's minimum requirements.
  4. Confirm the withdrawal request, and your funds will be processed for transfer.
  5. Withdrawals take anywhere from 24 hours to seven business days, depending on the app and method.

Which Alberta betting app has the best odds?

In order to maximize your winnings, it's important to keep an eye on different odds across different books to shop for the best potential payouts.

bet365 offers some of the best odds for Alberta bettors across all the major sports. For example, at the start of the NHL playoffs, bet365 listed the Edmonton Oilers at +1200 to win the Stanley Cup outright, offering one of the best potential payouts on the market. Unfortunately, the Oilers were ultimately knocked out by the Anaheim Ducks in the first round. bet365 also regularly offers large odds boosts on popular markets.

As new books come into the province's betting scene, I'll be watching closely to see if any pick up an early edge on odds offered.

Importance of multiple apps and line shopping

Line shopping is a must for serious bettors because it lets you compare odds across multiple sportsbooks and find the best value before placing a bet. For example, backing the Stampeders over the Argos at +140 will provide more profit if you win than making the same wager at +125. Likewise, some books may have more generous point spread numbers than others.

With access to several betting apps, it’s easy to check what different sportsbooks are offering on the same game or market. That makes it easier to spot discrepancies and jump on more favourable lines, helping you get the most out of every wager.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  • Sign up with a handful of reputable sportsbooks so you have more options to compare.
  • Check odds regularly across different apps to find the best lines.
  • Keep track of your bets and see which sportsbooks consistently offer better value.
  • Use odds comparison tools or apps to streamline the process.

At the end of the day, line shopping is all about giving yourself an edge—locking in better odds, making smarter bets, and improving your long-term results.

Alberta sports teams to bet on

Alberta boasts a number of iconic sporting franchises between its two major cities, leading to some of Canada's most famous rivalries. In the NHL there's the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames, and in the CFL it's the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Elks.

Alberta sports fans are passionate and proud of their local teams. As legalized sports betting comes to the province, those fans now have a new way to get in on the action. Remember to manage your bankroll properly.

Calgary Flames 🏒

The Calgary Flames joined the NHL in 1980 when the Atlanta Flames relocated north of the border. Through Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation (CSEC) they have a long-term partnership with Play Alberta. This partnership highlights the increasingly close ties between sports teams and the betting industry, while also giving fans new and engaging ways to bet on the Flames.

The past few seasons have not been kind to the Flames. In 2025-26, they missed the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season, finishing fourth-last with 77 points. That being said, there's good reason to believe the dark clouds could soon part over Blue Sky City.

Last season, the team finally committed to a rebuild, selling off veteran players at the deadline to recoup prospects and draft capital. Plus, that poor finish means they'll pick sixth overall in the stacked 2026 NHL entry draft. Whoever they take will be added to a strong, growing prospect pool.

Edmonton Oilers 🏒

On the other side of the Battle of Alberta is the Edmonton Oilers, arguably one of the most storied franchises in Canada. Located in the province's capital, the Oilers joined the NHL in 1979 from the WHA. They have five Stanley Cups, four of which were won with the Great One himself, Wayne Gretzky. The Oilers also have a major partnership with Play Alberta, which they extended in 2024. Just like the Flames, the Play Alberta logo features prominently on their home jerseys, with GameSense on the helmets.

Through a tough stretch in the 2010s, the Oilers were able to collect several top players, including generational talent turned team captain Connor McDavid. Unfortunately, they still haven't been able to get the job done.

In 2024 and 2025, the Oilers reach the Cup Final, only to lose to the Florida Panthers. This past season, they failed to advance past the first round, falling in six games to the Anaheim Ducks. It remains to be seen if Edmonton can get it done in the McDavid era, or if he'll walk when his most recent extension with the team is up in two years.

Calgary Stampeders 🏈

One of Alberta's oldest franchises is the CFL's Calgary Stampeders. Founded in 1945, the team is based at McMahon Stadium and has eight Grey Cup wins, including most recently in 2018.

Owned by Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, the Stampeders are included in the Play Alberta exclusive deal that covers a number of the major teams in the province. Just like the Flames and Oilers in the NHL, they have a long-fought rivalry against their counterpart from Edmonton, with head-to-head matches dubbed the Battle of Alberta.

The Stampeders have made the CFL playoffs in five of the last six seasons, but went on to lose in the semi-final each time.

Edmonton Elks 🏈

Founded in 1949 as the Edmonton Eskimos, the team changed their name in 2022, but its storied history as part of the CFL remains intact. The Elks play at Commonwealth Stadium, which boasts a capacity of 56,302––the largest in Canada. Needless to say, Edmontonians go crazy for their Elks.

While they haven't won the Grey Cup since 2015, they have the second most CFL titles in league history with 14. In 2025, the Elks and Play Alberta agreed on a multi-year partnership, making Play Alberta the team's official sports betting partner. As part of the agreement, the field at Commonwealth Stadium has been rebranded as Play Alberta Field for all Elks home games.

The Elks are currently in the midst of a five-year playoff drought. Their last postseason appearance came in 2019, when they lost in the Eastern Final.

Cavalry FC ⚽

After FC Edmonton folded in 2022, Alberta is now left with just one team in the Canadian Premier League. Founded in 2018, Cavalry FC plays at ATCO Field in Foothills County, Alberta, located just outside of Calgary city limits. Cavalry FC has won the CPL Shield twice (2019, 2023) and the league title once (2024).

In the 2025 season, they fell 2-1 to Atlético Ottawa in the Final. Played in a blizzard, the game attracted global attention for the harsh weather conditions, bringing new eyeballs to the growing league.

You won't find CPL odds on every single Alberta sportsbook, but there are a few that host markets if you're interested. Most notably, bet365 offers odds and a variety of prop markets on every CPL match.

Calgary Roughnecks 🥍

The Calgary Roughnecks play in the National Lacrosse League (NLL), comprised of 14 teams across Canada and the U.S. Despite being Canada's official national sport, lacrosse falls quite low on the list of popular sporting events. Even still, the Roughnecks have a small but loyal following, and that's enough to attract the attention of the sportsbooks.

You can find odds for the NLL (and other lacrosse leagues) on numerous AB sportsbooks, but bet365 may have the most complete market. You won't find a huge variety of prop bets, but you'll find odds for every game, plus a handful of futures to speculate on.

Responsible gaming in Alberta

In Alberta, betting apps are set to be regulated by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC) and the brand-new provincial corporation, the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC). Full rules and regulations on gambling practices in the province are still to come.

More Alberta sports betting resources

For bettors in Alberta, several province-wide resources are available to ensure a safe and responsible sports betting experience. These resources include:

Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC): The AGLC is the regulatory authority overseeing sports betting activities in Alberta. Their website has all the information you need on licensing, regulations, and responsible gambling initiatives.

Gamblers Anonymous (GA): GA is a fellowship of individuals who have experienced gambling addiction and offer support to others facing similar challenges. They hold regular meetings in various locations across Alberta, providing a safe space for individuals to share their experiences and seek support.
