To me no logic in betting on a game, either team, played in another country. You have ni idea about travel and being in a completely unfamiliar place.

won his two smallest bets... i don't understand how you can go 0-3 on teams you feel two to three times more confident about. Instead of going 2-3 down 3 units plus some vig, he's down 14 units plus vig... if you're tailing this guy or any guy, flat betting is the way to go, ignore the units.
