New Jersey Sports Betting Interview w/ Senator Lesniak
Thank you State Senator Lesniak for taking the time to discuss sports betting! Best of luck with your state's efforts to accept sports wagers through Atlantic City casinos and racetracks by the Super Bowl!

Thank you thank you thank you. No more having to go to Vegas! I gotta believe the potential of lost customers will have the off-shores toeing the line a little better. This is sooooo long overdue. Guess losing TENS OF BILLIONS for something people are gonna do anyway finally broke the camels back. Harry Reid and the leagues be darned.

              wrong on all fronts

offshore booming in Vegas, every local bettor has accounts because miles ahead of Vegas Betting

Post Up Landline Sportsbooks do not make much money

Vegas books empty most of year

Private Operators will be scared in NJ to start up until legal issues clarified

A few major NJ tracks said they are not taking bets anytime soon despite todays rulings

We are on a gambling forum so we think everyone bets sports..wrong again..most people do not in USA

Why would someone have an off-shore if they lived in Vegas? What I mean is why would someone jump thru the hoops and put up with the headaches of getting your money from an off-shore rather than just walk up to the counter the minute they grade the bet? Not trying to sound like a jerk, it's an honest, legit question. Strictly line shopping and having as many outs as possible?

Sometimes much easier to bet from computer than driving to book

if you are asking this question.. then you aren't a serious bettor and you don't know the in's and out's of Las Vegas.

The Vegas Market is puny in comparison. Lines are almost uniform. Smaller markets don't exist. Things like betting quarters in Basketball don't exist.

Any soccer game that isn't a Huge Derby isn't covered. I can go on and on man.

I love betting in Vegas.. I love cashing tickets and getting cold hard cash in my hands.. YES THAT IS AWESOME .

But Vegas doesn't even come close in comparison to a shop like 5Dimes. One little URL has better markets then all of Vegas combined.

I've got multiple pubs, clubs and TAB agencies where I can bet within walking distance of home and have hardly ever played a sports bet not via the internet.

no good legal argument can be made why nevada should be the only state to monopolize sports betting. case closed.

The thing is most people live at least 20 minutes or more from these places

A lot of monies in New York City and it will be too expensive to come to the New Jersey Meadowlands to make bets as the middle and the poor are the main Sports bettors

First it will be cool but eventually people not going to go and waste the gas and will be back betting with local Books/offshore unless they get a good online system which is probably a long way away

Even if you live nxt door to the book the betting options aren't as varied as a offshore book great for people of New York who has a extra option now

Husband goes to bet sports, wife comes along and plays slots. It's a win-win-win-win situation.

I love what the governor said letting these private operators take their own risk

He said I'm not telling you to do it or not to do it
