New to the forum after reading for a long time... I've seen a lot of bettors on Houston today... while we all know given the line Houston would have to win 3 out of 10 to turn a profit, they are not playing 10 games today, and you are not betting that +200 on a simulation of 10 games. You are simply wagering on whether Bud Norris can beat Anibal Sanchez today. Unless you have faith in Bud Norris (who is an average pitcher at best) to go 7-8 innings, this is a no play, or a play to add the Tigers to a parlay. Just because you see a line like this for the dog, doesn't mean it is wise to bet it. The Astros bullpen got clobbered by the Rangers this past series, and if Norris leaves by the 6th, this one is as good as over. The Astros also lead the majors in strikeouts and Anibal Sanchez should have his way easily tonight. The Astros offense has improved since last year, but this is not a let down spot for the Tigers who are now no longer in first place in the AL Central. Add the Tigers to a parlay with the Heat or any other games you like, but don't complain when the Astros show their usual form and get beat. Many people loved the Astros against Clay Bucholz in Boston and were infatuated with the large + money, but the Astros promptly gave up 4 in the first and lost handily.
