USA Over 1.5 total goals (-169 at DraftKings)
This USMNT squad has a much different look right now. Mauricio Pochettino selected 13 uncapped players, and the likes of Christian Pulisic, Tim Ream, Weston McKennie, and Folarin Balogun, among others, weren't included. Pochettino is looking to evaluate young talent.
Regardless, I expect the Americans to score goals on Saturday. They've won three straight games against teams ranked outside of the top-30, scoring a minimum of two goals in each match.
Peru is also very shaky at the back. The visitors have conceded at least twice in four of their previous six outings.
The youthful talent in this squad will prove its worth against the South Americans.

It's certainly hard to know what to expect from the United States when a lot of this team wasn't playing in the World Cup, but there is some very intriguing talent at Pochettino's disposal. The hosts will secure a convincing victory.

Damion Downs anytime goal (+135 at DraftKings)
With Ricardo Pepi withdrawing due to injury, Damion Downs suddenly has a real opportunity to lead the line for the United States. The St. Louis City SC forward has six USMNT appearances to his name and converted the winning penalty in the 2025 Gold Cup quarterfinal shootout against Costa Rica.
Downs hasn’t produced much since joining St. Louis on loan from Southampton, but he does have considerably more senior international experience than the other forwards in this camp. Cole Campbell, Justin Ellis, Julian Hall and Cavan Sullivan are all still uncapped, making Downs the most obvious candidate to start centrally against Peru.
He’s still searching for his first USMNT goal, but this is exactly the type of opportunity he needs. Against a Peru side the Americans are expected to control for long stretches, Downs should get chances in and around the penalty area.
