Nottingham Forest vs. Man City Prediction, Picks & Odds for Saturday's Premier League Match
Last Updated: November 6, 2026 10:04 AM EST • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
I expect the Cityzens to avoid losing three league matches in a row for the first time in two years. I detail my reasoning in my Nottingham Forest vs. Man City prediction.
City are the -145 betting favorite for Saturday's match at City Ground in Nottingham, with kickoff set for 12:30 p.m. ET (NBC Sports). Along with featuring City on the moneyline, I've honed in on the total and a predictable Erling Haaland player prop.

Man City ML (-145)
It’s not too often you get a chance to back Man City at -145 to beat a team cemented in the relegation zone. Sure, the Cityzens enter facing the possibility of losing three straight top-flight matches for the first time in two years.
Admittedly, they haven’t resembled their best since being found guilty of heinous financial transgressions. However, Enzo Maresca’s side found a way to get back into the win column in the Champions League, beating RB Leipzig 3-2 in Germany.
Nottingham Forest are the only side without a home win through four matches. Their only point came against a Spurs side that were the league's laughing stock at the time.
While they won’t find life easy at City Ground, the title contenders should take all three points against the worst home side.
🆚 Who will win Nottingham Forest vs. Man City?
I’m backing Man City to add to Nottingham Forest’s home woes. City cannot afford to lose more ground to the Gunners, and their second-most prolific offense will outscore a Nottingham Forest side that has the fifth-most expected goals (14.6), but the fewest goals (6).
More Nottingham Forest vs. Man City expert picks
Over 2.5 goals (-160)
The odds are too Martin Short, but the bet is so appealing I can’t pass it up. Man City have 20 goals, the second-most behind Brighton’s 24. They scored three against RB Leipzig midweek and are coming off an uncharacteristic pair of top-flight matches in which they mustered just one goal.
They'll be hellbent on making amends.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest’s offense is better than their league-worst six goals suggest. Oliver Glasner’s side have the fifth-most expected goals (14.6), but have struggled to make the most of their chances. They face a City side that has conceded 10 goals, the second-most of those among the top seven.
Erling Haaland anytime goal (-120)
Despite Haaland’s struggles against Nottingham Forest, against whom he hasn’t netted in the previous four meetings, I can’t pass up an opportunity to lock in Haaland at -120.
The towering Norwegian leads the top flight with nine goals in as many appearances. He failed to score in the last match against Brighton, ending a seven-game goal streak. Haaland has scored in all four away matches, and he netted the winner midweek in the Champions League against RB Leipzig.
I’m even more convinced he’ll score Saturday, as seeing Haaland go five matches without scoring against a team is about as inconceivable as experiencing snow in the tropics.
