Despite entering the lion’s den, City are the betting favorite, and I’m backing Enzo Maresca and Co. to extend their immaculate start to the campaign. But my best bet features the most formidable striker in world football, who has himself a tasty proposition against a United defensive duo who will struggle to contain the prolific Norwegian.

Is it possible Erling Haaland’s more aerodynamic hairdo has made it even more challenging for center-backs to chase him down?
Ok, so while his new look has nothing to do with his goal-scoring output, Haaland is on fire, netting five times in the first four games in all competitions.
After being held off the scoresheet in the opener against Bournemouth, Haaland bagged two against Crystal Palace, one versus Coventry and added a Champions League brace against FC Porto midweek.
He has eight goals in seven league appearances against Man United. As if that’s not impressive enough, he’ll likely be up against the slow and cumbersome Harry Maguire.

There is a strong case to make for Man United picking up a draw at home against their loathed rivals. However, form is on the Cityzens’ side as they look to win a fifth straight match in all competitions to start the season.
City have outscored opponents 9-2 and will look forward to the challenge of facing Man United at Old Trafford, where Michael Carrick has won nine of 10 encounters since re-assuming his managerial role.
Carrick’s men have not played well thus far, though, losing to newcomers Hull City and tying Everton. Their lone league win came against Ipswich Town. While United often save their best for City at home, I’m not convinced the tandem of Maguire and Lisandro Martínez can slow Haaland and his new do.
