There's a light NHL slate on Friday night with only three games, making it easy to select our NHL parlay picks.

Friday is always a slower night around the NHL because the league schedules practically every team to play on Saturdays. That's why there are only three games tonight, though originally Golden Knights-Oilers was scheduled before being postponed.

Here’s a look are my top NHL parlay picks for Friday’s action (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, and pick confidence is based on a one-to-five star scale).

Top NHL Parlay Predictions

Wild (-165)

Minnesota is 2-0 during the season series against the Ducks, but both victories came early.

This pick is getting four stars instead of five due to the uncertain status of Wild goaltender Cam Talbot, who's dealing with a lower-body injury and hasn’t played since New Year’s Day. Talbot skated on Thursday, but he'll likely sit another game. Kaapo Kahkonen (6-2-1, 2.51 goals-against average, .915 save percentage) is a fine backup.

There are also two key forwards out for Minnesota in Nick Bjugstad and Joel Erikkson Ek. However, reigning Calder Trophy winner Kirill Kaprizov is coming off the injured reserve to play. He leads the club in goals (14) and assists (26).

Anaheim’s top goalie John Gibson is in the COVID-19 protocols and not expected to play, and top center Adam Henrique remains on the injured reserve.

The Ducks may have this year's Calder Trophy winner in Trevor Zegras, who was named the NHL’s December Rookie of the Month. I’d probably pass if this were in Anaheim, but I don’t see the Ducks winning in the Twin Cities. They're 1-4 over their past five as road dogs and have lost five straight in Minnesota.

Panthers (-185)

The Panthers and Stars played a wild game a little over a week ago in Dallas, with the Stars winning 6-5 in a shootout. Each club scored one goal in the first period, three in the second, and one in the third. Florida led three different times over roughly the first 25 minutes.

Don't take much from that game, as the Stars are 14-3-1 at home compared to 4-10-1 on the road, while Florida is an NHL-best 19-3-0 at home and 5-4-5 away. You should be betting the Panthers every time they're at home. They're getting healthy too, with winger Mason Marchment (10 points) likely returning Friday. He cleared protocols earlier this week but needed a few practices. Sergei Bobrovsky should be in net for Florida, and he’s 13-1-0 at home.

Dallas isn't full strength, with No. 1 goaltender Braden Holtby and wingers Denis Gurianov (14 points) and Alexander Radulov (12 points) in the COVID-19 protocols. The Stars are 0-4 over their past four as dogs.

Avalanche ML + Over 6.5 goals (+115)

Somehow, it’s the first meeting between these division rivals.

The Avs open as high as -550 at some books. That’s ridiculous, so we’ll take this decent parlay price on the Avs moneyline plus Over 6.5 goals.

The Avalanche winning this game isn’t really in question. Yes, Arizona upset Toronto 2-1 on Wednesday, but that was a huge letdown game for the Leafs after an overtime victory in Las Vegas the night before.

Colorado leads the NHL in scoring at 4.30 goals per game as the only club over 4.00. Arizona is tied for last in goals-against average at 3.71, but the clubs are combing for 7.71 goals.

The only way this game doesn’t go Over is if Darcy Kuemper holds the Yotes to one or zero goals, but he’s really not that sort of goaltender. Giving up at least two goals per outing is nearly automatic for him, and he allowed five on Tuesday in Nashville. Karel Vejmelka will likely be in net for Arizona (4-13-1, 3.17 GAA), and it'll be the rookie's first time playing in the altitude of Denver.

The Over is 11-5 in Arizona’s past 16 games after the team allowed two goals or fewer in its previous contest. The Over is 3-0-1 in Colorado’s past four at home.
