NHL best bet today
Auston Matthews Over 0.5 assists (+135 at bet365)
Matthews carries his three-game assist streak into Utah, with the Maple Leafs captain racking up six assists in the sample. He tallied two assists in Colorado on Saturday and notched one in Sin City in his previous away game against the hot Vegas Golden Knights.
His line accounted for 58.7% of expected goals against the Avalanche, a team high. He had two power-play points in that game, a promising tidbit considering he’s facing a Mammoth team with the 19th-ranked penalty kill.
📡 SBR Edge: William Nylander bonus pick
William Nylander has five goals in six games, including three in the previous three. He’s also scored in three of his four previous meetings with the Mammoth. At FanDuel, his odds to light the lamp sit at +200.

Jack Hughes Over 0.5 assists (-105 via DraftKings)
Like Matthews, Hughes enters Tuesday on a three-game assist streak. He won’t be pleased with how things went in Monday night's 4-1 setback to the Ottawa Senators, despite registering a helper.
And I don’t think fatigue will factor in, as the Devils’ superstar will be motivated by an unbridled desire to help his team bounce back. He notched four assists in his previous three games and has recently succeeded against the Detroit Red Wings, posting an assist in three of the last four meetings.
The Red Wings were shoddy in their previous home game, allowing six goals to the Seattle Kraken.
Bo Horvat anytime goal (+140 via FanDuel)
The New York Islanders’ leader has elevated his game since being named captain, scoring four goals in five games to start the campaign. He scored all four in the previous four games, but his three-game goal streak ended against an in-form Andrei Vasilevskiy.
Most importantly, I love the matchup against his former team, who have conceded the second-most goals per game (5), including 17 in the three games on the current road trip. Horvat has two goals in five meetings with the Canucks since being traded to the Islanders.
