There are only three games on Sunday's slate, condensing the betting markets for my NHL predictions today.

I'm targeting the Under between the Kraken and Capitals as my best bet, banking on Washington goaltender Logan Thompson to stay strong in the crease. I also have two additional totals to target in Canucks vs. Rangers and Hurricanes vs. Flyers.

💰 NHL best bet today

Kraken at Capitals Under 6.5 (-120 via DraftKings)

The Kraken have been flying over their goal total lines to start this season, which is why oddsmakers have set their road tilt against the Capitals at 6.5. However, Thompson has been among the best netminders so far, posting a 2.00 GAA.

Seattle's offense alternates between hot and cold, scoring three total goals during its two losses against the Golden Knights and Oilers. The Kraken have also scored 6 goals against the Flames twice, which isn't impressive given Calgary's porous defense.

Go to DraftKings and bet Under 6.5 total goals between the Kraken and Capitals.

📡 SBR Edge: Under the Capital

Following a win, the Capitals have gone Under in eight consecutive games played at Capital One Arena.

🔥 More NHL picks & predictions

Canucks at Rangers Over 6 (-120 via BetMGM)

The Rangers will prepare to face the Canucks at Madison Square Garden without top goaltender Igor Shesterkin. His injury has forced Dylan Garand into the net.

Vancouver goaltender Kevin Lankinen has a terrible 6.85 GAA and a 1-4 record as a starter. He's allowed six or more goals in two of his starts, while only completing one game, in which he gave up 3 goals to the Golden Knights.

The goal total has gone over in seven of the Canucks' last nine games played against Metropolitan Division opponents. With a pair of goaltenders either lacking experience or struggling to stop shots, this feels like a good spot to invest in the goal total over.

Bet Over 6.0 at -120 odds on BetMGM.

Hurricanes at Flyers Under 6 (-118 via BetMGM)

The Flyers are still searching for their first win. However, they did give the Hurricanes a scare during a 3-2 overtime loss last week.

The key trend here is the goal total, which has gone Under in seven straight head-to-head matchups between the Hurricanes and Flyers. Pyotr Kochetkov draws the start for Carolina, limiting the Flyers and Canucks to two goals each, while Joseph Woll also held the Hurricanes to two regulation goals during their previous tilt.

The Flyers have been held to one total goal in three straight contests and have not scored three goals in a game this season. Both teams could have tired legs in the second half of a back-to-back.

Bet Under 6.0 at -118 odds on BetMGM.
