The NHL has assembled a full slate of games on Saturday with 13 contests spread throughout the day, so read on for our top NHL prop picks and best bets for Saturday based on the leading NHL odds from our best sports betting sites.

Saturday will feature a spotlight on the NHL with a packed schedule of 13 games.

The St. Louis Blues will face off against the Detroit Red Wings at 12 p.m. ET to open the schedule, followed by a Metropolitan Division matchup between the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers later in the afternoon.

There are a few premiere matchups on Saturday night, including the Colorado Avalanche hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Boston Bruins visiting the Vancouver Canucks, and the Dallas Stars facing off against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The hits keep coming for the Vegas Golden Knights, with Mark Stone joining Jack Eichel (among others) on the injured list. The Knights are now without forwards William Carrier and Brett Howden along with those two stars, but Nicolas Roy has been stepping up.

Roy is the de facto first-line center alongside wingers Ivan Barbashev and Jonathan Marchessault in Vegas. He’s up to 31 points in 48 games during 2023-24, largely thanks to 16 points across the forward's last 14 outings.

The Golden Knights are still pushing for the playoffs, and Roy should continue to be a central part of their offense as the top-line center. Getting him at plus odds to record a point is a great bet on Saturday night.

Jared McCann to record a point vs. Wild (-130 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Seattle Kraken are clawing for the playoffs again, and Jared McCann will be a key figure in that effort. The veteran is on a six-game point streak with 10 points during that span, and he’s recorded a point in 12 of his last 13 contests and 19 total points over his current run.

McCann has notched a point in 31 of 55 games in 2023-24 (56.36%), which is right in line with this -130 price (56.52% implied probability). 

However, given McCann’s hot streak and the Wild playing a back-to-back set, the top-line winger offers good value to get on the scoresheet on Saturday at home against Minnesota. 

Saturday’s NHL game picks

Panthers -1.5 vs. Capitals (+114 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Florida Panthers made a Cinderella run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2022-23, and they're now proving that wasn’t a fluke. They didn’t miss a beat without top defensemen Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour to begin the season, even with Matthew Tkachuk likely playing at less than 100% after a broken sternum in the playoffs last year.

The Cats are 10-2 in the last month with a plus-28 goal differential. The Caps are somehow in the playoff race, but they’re on the edge of falling out of it. The Panthers should be able to pounce on them Saturday night.

The Panthers have recorded a multi-goal win during 24 of their 37 games in 2023-24, including a 4-2 victory over the Caps on Feb. 8. The Capitals are 26-21-8 with multi-goal defeats during 19 of their 21 regulation losses.

Florida is a hungry squad looking to bounce back from a tough road loss in Carolina. Count on the Cats to rebound in a major way on Saturday night. 

Kraken ML vs. Wild (-134 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Kraken are coming off a significant 5-2 win over the Canucks and are in a great position to make it two straight at home on Saturday night against the Wild. Minnesota is fresh off a triumph in Edmonton, but the Wild are now facing the Kraken fewer than 24 hours after a rather undeserved road win over the Oilers.

The Wild beat the Oilers 4-2 despite getting outshot 43-20. They’re now on the second half of a back-to-back set, which is a situation they’re familiar with. They lost 6-3 in Winnipeg the day after beating the Canucks 10-7 at home earlier this week.

The Kraken should be more significant favorites at home against a tired Wild team. I’d play the Kraken up to -150 at home.
