The Saints are currently -3.5-point betting favorites at home from Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., leading up to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff (CBS).

I like the Raiders and the points in this game but the biggest trend to back is the point total Under 43.5. Both of these defenses have been playing well, and we've got a pair of elite edge rushers in Maxx Crosby and Chase Young.
The Raiders have not faced the best offenses yet but it's still been impressive work, holding the Chargers and Dolphins to 185 passing yards or less, while forcing 5 turnovers.
The Saints have had tougher competition on the road against the Lions and Ravens. After coming up just short of an upset in Detroit, New Orleans held Lamar Jackson to 17 points, playing a turnover-free game.
The total feels a bit high, likely due to Shough's passing numbers through his first two starts. However, the Saints have gone under the point total line in six straight games played at Caesars Superdome.

The Saints and Raiders will each give the opposing offense fits in this game. Cousins is a proven veteran, but he's not a mobile quarterback, and the Saints' stifling secondary will hold the Raiders' shallow wide receiving corps out of the end zone.
Shough will also have to deal with a Raiders defensive front-7, led by Crosby, who added disruptors like Quay Walker, Nakobe Deam, and Kwity Paye this offseason. The Saints will grind out a tight 23-20 win in a game that could be littered with field goals.
