Two of the most disappointing and underachieving teams in September will look to turn a new page this month in my Packers vs. Buccaneers prediction. Baker Mayfield's thumb injury opens up a starting opportunity for undrafted rookie QB Jalon Daniels against Green Bay's struggling defense.

The Packers are -3.5-point road favorites at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., leading up to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff (FOX).

There's value on the point total line at 39.5, moving down from 47.5 due to Mayfield's injury. Daniels was a quality QB1 for Kansas during his collegiate tenure, tossing a career-high 22 touchdowns and over 2,500 passing yards with the Jayhawks last season.

Of course, facing an NFL defense is a different ball game. However, Green Bay's defensive unit is in shambles, allowing the Falcons to rack up 498 yards of offense, including 242 rushing yards.

Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving's presence on the field should help Daniels. He also has a strong wide receiving corps with veteran WR Chris Godwin and second-year wideout Emeka Egbuka.

Jordan Love and the Packers will be able to move the football against a banged-up Buccaneers defense. Tampa Bay will be without Rueben Bain up front, and the Buccaneers have only forced two turnovers this season.

Hot and wet conditions could be in play with the latest forecast for Tampa. Let's bet on the Packers to figure out their offense early, while the Buccaneers lean on Irving to stay ahead of schedule against a porous Green Bay defense.

Love and Daniels could wind up playing in a shootout with a ton of production from both offenses in this game. While we know Love's ceiling is high, especially with star wideout Christian Watson, Daniels' dual-threat ability and lack of tape can create opportunities for the Buccaneers' offense.

40+ points feels like it could hit by the 3rd quarter in this game. An explosive Packers passing attack should return, while Green Bay's defensive issues will create opportunities for Tampa Bay and OC Zac Robinson.
