Week 1 in the NFL was tied for the highest league-wide scoring average in an opening week since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970 (24.7 points), but my NFL best bets for Week 2 are not overreacting to that trend completely. After all, I hit on both of my best bets from last week that involved totals (and Unders at that) and am looking to build on that momentum this week.

Our NFL Week 2 predictions continue with two more Unders, including one on the game with the lowest projected total of any on the week’s slate. And for the first time this season, I get creative with a two-leg moneyline parlay that pays plus-money odds.

💰 Best NFL bets this week

Eagles-Titans Under 40 (-125 via BetMGM)

It’s the only game on the Week 2 slate with a total in the 30s at most of the top sports betting sites, but that isn’t low enough for me, especially with Philadelphia’s new offensive line concerns.

The Eagles offensive line’s performance in Week 1 was an improvement from what it produced last year. In 2025, Philadelphia’ s Pass Rush Win Rate ranked 17th (8th in Week 1) and its Run Block Win Rate improved from 16th last year to 10th last week. But Philadelphia now placed Landon Dickerson on IR with a right knee injury, and that should spell trouble for Saquon Barkley, who ranked 34th of 34 qualified running backs in yards per contact per carry when under center.

I'm paying up slightly for the higher total and 55.56% implied odds at BetMGM, as the rest of the market has an O/U a half-point lower at 39.5.

📡 SBR EDGE — Saleh and September Unders

Titans head coach Robert Saleh is 10-3-1 to the Under in September since 2021 while staying under the projected total by more than six points per game. Among 26 head coaches with at least 10 such September games coached in that span, Saleh's Under rate is second-best.

Bengals-Texans Under 46.5 (-115 via DraftKings)

DeMeco Ryans’ Texans defense allowed its most points (36) in a game since 2023 Week 16. Buffalo’s offense that gained 409 total yards was heavily reliant on chunk plays, as its 21% explosive play rate was the most ever allowed under Ryans.

I don’t believe Joe Burrow’s back tightness that had him limited in practice this week will keep him out of the game Sunday. But I also don’t expect Cincinnati to score 24 points off turnovers like it did last week.

There should also be a more conservative game plan from Houston, as it doesn’t want C.J. Stroud throwing 38 passes again. In the three games where he attempted that many passes last year, the team lost twice. In addition, the Texans are 16-2 to the Under coming off an ATS loss over the last three seasons.

🐆 Jaguars +3.5 (-135 via Caesars)

Jacksonville’s momentum from winning its final eight regular season games last year has seemingly carried over to 2026. The Jaguars have now scored 23 points in 12 straight games (including playoffs), which is the longest active streak in the NFL and the longest in team history. And Trevor Lawrence possesses the big arm necessary to challenge the Broncos secondary, as he is coming off his third career game with four or more touchdown passes, and his first with multiple passing touchdowns of 20-plus yards downfield.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton isn’t calling plays anymore (for now). And his teams have also been notoriously slow starters, as he is 12-25 ATS as a head coach in Weeks 1 and 2. That’s the worst mark of any head coach in the Super Bowl era (min. 20 games).

This is a pass for me at the current number of +2.5 offered at most sportsbooks. Instead, I'm buying a point through the key number of three and backing the road underdogs getting a field goal and the hook.

Packers + Chiefs moneyline parlay (+105 via DraftKings)

A lot of historical trends and data factor into this moneyline parlay. Green Bay hasn’t started 0-2 since 2006, which is the longest active streak in the NFL and the longest in team history of avoiding 0-2 starts. It also is not like the Packers defense played poorly for four quarters last week when it allowed 29 unanswered points in the second half. Through three quarters, Green Bay allowed just 17 points and 168 yards.

Kansas City faces Indianapolis and quarterback Daniel Jones on Sunday Night football, and Jones has been a nightmare in primetime games. He is 1-15 in his career in primetime, the worst primetime record by any starting quarterback since 1950 (min. 10 starts).
