Nothing we’ve seen from the Falcons so far suggests they can stay within 5.5 points of anybody, but frankly, I’m willing to throw a lot of it out the window due to the untenable play of Cooper Rush.
Though Michael Penix Jr. isn’t some proven star, he should give Atlanta a chance. After Geno Smith and the Jets took the Packers to the brink in last week’s exciting overtime battle, I think the Falcons are being undervalued at this price. The Packers have some issues to iron out, too, so I’m expecting a competitive game.
Bijan Robinson Over 40.5 receiving yards (-111 via DraftKings)
Now that we’ve established a belief that Penix can help the Falcons move the ball a little more capably, we dig into exactly how that might manifest. Bijan Robinson is a weapon who can take some stress off Penix in his first game back.
In Week 1, he logged 90 receiving yards and is extremely dangerous after the catch. The Packers allowed 65 receiving yards to Breece Hall this past week, so the matchup could be favorable to RB receiving numbers.
Kyle Pitts Over 35.5 receiving yards (-110 via DraftKings)
This pick correlates to the notion of a resurgent passing attack, and incorporates a small dose of stubbornness. After Kyle Pitts’ strong 2025 campaign, there’s no way he suddenly disappears to this extent, right?
Penix wants to pick his spots to send the ball downfield, and Pitts can be a beneficiary. Pitts had steady numbers with Penix in the lineup last season, clearing this line in seven out of Penix’s eight full games.
Pitts should be targeted against a Packer defense that allowed six receptions for 58 yards to Minnesota tight ends back in Week 1.
