Top Prop Predictions for Chiefs vs. Bengals

Mahomes Under 308.5 passing yards (-115) ★★★

There’s no doubt that NFL fans are hoping to see a shootout between the Bengals and the Chiefs. Though we could see a fair bit of scoring on both sides, I question whether Mahomes will see enough opportunity to clear this passing yardage total.

While the Chiefs rank inside the NFL’s top 10 in time of possession, they’re behind the Bengals in the category. Cincinnati ranks fourth in the league in the stat and thrived by controlling the football for long spells in January’s AFC Championship Game. Limiting possessions for the most dynamic quarterback in the league should once again be part of Cincy’s game plan.

The Bengals haven’t allowed a 300-yard passer all season. Mahomes has cleared this total in six straight games, but I see him falling just short here against the unit ranked ninth in pass defense DVOA.

Both DraftKings and BetMGM offer the Mahomes passing total at 308.5 (Under at -115), which presents a better value than the 302.5 (-114) offering by FanDuel.

Chase Over 73.5 receiving yards (-114) ★★★★

If Chase is healthy enough to play, he’s going to be unleashed. I don’t expect the Bengals to ease him in. His receiving props seem to be hedging on that possibility, so I am very intrigued by backing Chase this week.

Though the Chiefs limited Chase to only 54 receiving yards in the aforementioned playoff game, the former LSU standout absolutely torched Kansas City for 266 yards in last year’s regular-season meeting. Chase has cleared this total in four of seven games this season, and thrice he’s eclipsed 120 receiving yards.

If the smack talk he’s been dishing with Chiefs defensive back Justin Reid is any indication of how he’ll perform Sunday, I’m betting on a huge day from the sophomore receiver.

Chase’s receiving total is listed at 73.5 yards at both DraftKings and FanDuel. FanDuel has slightly more favorable odds at that number, with -114 compared to -115 at DraftKings.

Moore Over 24.5 receiving yards (-120) ★★★★

Moore’s receiving yards prop at DraftKings feels soft considering the involvement the rookie has recently had. He’s been on the field for more than 40% of offensive snaps in the last two weeks. Though JuJu Smith-Schuster is another week removed from the concussion protocol and will likely get more run on Sunday, Kadarius Toney is out for Sunday’s game.

The rookie should continue to see opportunity, and he’s easily cleared this yardage total two weeks in a row. DraftKings is the only sportsbook that offers a prop on Moore for Sunday, but the line is cushy enough to exploit at the -120 odds.
