The Cincinnati Bengals will hope for a repeat of last season's playoff meeting when they host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Check out our top Chiefs-Bengals NFL picks

A year ago, the Bengals dashed the Chiefs’ Super Bowl dreams in the AFC Championship Game. Kansas City was a huge favorite and put up a double-digit lead before Cincinnati came all the way back to win by three.

At 9-2, KC still looks to be a force in the league. Cincinnati’s form doesn’t quite cut it in 2022, and some might even say it's lucky to be in the hunt at 7-4.

Here are our best Chiefs-Bengals Week 13 NFL football picks (odds via PointsBet, FanDuel Sportsbook, and DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Chiefs vs. Bengals Odds

Chiefs vs. Bengals Odds Analysis

The Chiefs opened as modest three-point favorites on the road in Cincinnati, but the line wasn't fair enough to the Bengals. Despite 82% of the spread tickets and 89% of the handle on Kansas City, the number moved in the Bengals’ favor. The Chiefs are favored by just 1.5 at DraftKings, but if you’d like to back the home team, get 2.5 points over at FanDuel for just -110.

DraftKings is the best shop for the Over, where they’re hanging 52.5 points. Meanwhile, you can lay just -107 to back the Under 53 at PointsBet.

Chiefs vs. Bengals ATS Pick

Chiefs -1.5 (-110) ★★★★

We'll get to the potential return of Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase in a moment, but that bit of news really means more to the total than it does to the spread.

KC's offense is light years ahead of Cincy's. Cincinnati ranks seventh in overall Offense DVOA and ninth in passing. Kansas City is just 16th in rushing DVOA despite ranking No. 1 in total Offense DVOA. However, aside from an uncharacteristic Week 3 performance against the Indianapolis Colts and a devastating loss in the final minutes against the Buffalo Bills, the Chiefs always find offense when they need it.

Kansas City averages a ridiculous 29.6 points per game this season and has been red hot recently. It's second in third down success rate and on fourth downs as well. This team is sixth in red zone scoring rate.

The Chiefs can’t really play defense, but they’re going up against an incredibly sporadic Bengals' offense which beat up on some bad Ds this year to inflate their numbers. It’s scary to back Kansas City against the spread, but one thing Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes consistently does is cover as an underdog or an incredibly short favorite.

Chiefs vs. Bengals O/U Pick

Over 52.5 (-110) ★★★★★

This is really where you want to go, with a Chiefs team scoring around 30 per game and a Bengals unit which put up 30 or more in four of their last six matchups. The Chiefs are 16th in scoring defense and 32nd in red zone success rate, a pretty tough side to watch.

On top of that, Chase is likely to return. While it's doubtful it really helps elevate Cincinnati to KC’s level, it may inject a bit more offense, give the opportunity to get a home run ball for a touchdown and get the ball right back to the league's best offense. Cincinnati’s pace is concerning, but with KC ranking sixth and the Bengals likely to be trailing for parts of the game, they’ll take a bit shorter between plays.

Chiefs vs. Bengals Prop Pick

Chase under 75.5 receiving yards (-120) ★★★★

Chase went for 266 yards on 11 catches when he met the Chiefs for the first time last season. In the playoffs, he caught six of nine targets for 54 yards. The Chiefs adjusted rather quickly and put the onus on Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and Co. to beat them, which they did.

I don’t think the gameplan changes, and I also know Chase will be somewhat limited in his first game back from an injury which cost him six weeks. He'd only gone over this number in three of his last six matchups, anyway. This is a severely inflated number.
