It was a long, tough 2021 season for the Chicago Bears, who finished with a 6-11 record. Will this team be able to turn over a new leaf under a new management group in 2022? Keep reading for the Bears' futures odds, picks, and preview for the upcoming season.

It didn’t take long for significant moves to be made following another disappointing campaign for the Chicago Bears. Ryan Poles spent over a decade with the Kansas City Chiefs in various roles before taking over as the Bears’ general manager less than a month after the 2021 regular season.

Poles immediately made noise by hiring Matt Eberflus as the new head coach and trading Khalil Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers. Chicago hasn’t made too many splashy offseason moves otherwise, but they’re a young team with the potential to improve on what they have.

Below, we preview the 2022 NFL season for the Chicago Bears with a look at their futures odds and make our top picks (odds via DraftKings SportsbookFanDuel Sportsbook, and Caesars Sportsbook).

Bears to Win NFC North (+1400)

The NFC North isn’t exactly the toughest division in the NFL, but it’s still far from a sure thing for Chicago. They have a solid shot at outperforming the Detroit Lions, but both the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings are more likely candidates to be the best of the four.

With that being said, anything is possible. The Lions, Packers, and Vikings have also lost key players over the last couple of seasons, with Davante Adams being the latest big fish to depart the division. All eyes will be on quarterback Fields and wide receiver Darnell Mooney — two young players who would likely be a big part of the Bears’ success if they were to finish on top of the heap. At +1400 odds, even a low-money wager would net a huge return if the bet cashed.

Bears Over 6.5 wins (+125)

The 6.5 total has remained the same since opening as it seems like an achievable win total threshold for Chicago. Last season, a lot of things went wrong yet the Bears still finished with six wins. As previously stated, a lot of their success will come down to how their young stars at key positions perform.

One factor that may push bettors towards taking the Over is Chicago’s fairly favorable strength of schedule. Yes, they play the Packers and the Vikings twice each but they also play the Lions twice along with a few other beatable teams such as the New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, and the Houston Texans. +125 on FanDuel represents good value.

Bears to miss playoffs (-440)

The lopsided odds in this market tell you all you need to know. The Bears are likely to improve on last season, but a playoff berth would be a huge accomplishment for them, one that may be a bit out of reach until their offense and defense can figure it out at the same time.

Winning the division is certainly a longshot, and even a wildcard birth would be terribly difficult. A lot of Chicago’s key pieces lack significant NFL experience, so at least another season of reps and development might be in the cards before this franchise is competitive again.

Fields Under 525.5 regular season rushing yards (-112)

Organizational expectations are high for Fields as he enters his sophomore season. Now that Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy are gone, Fields is a key cog for a management regime that did not draft him. If he does not perform up to expectations, GM Ryan Poles may decide to draft or acquire a new quarterback next season. All that means is more motivation for Fields to showcase his stuff at every opportunity. The one thing really working against him in regards to this prop market, however, is the lack of improvements made to the offensive line. Fields was constantly scrambling to avoid pressure last season, as he was sacked 36 times in just 12 games played. It may be a shrewder decision to take the Under on this one.
