Browns vs. Saints Prediction: Week 9 Odds, Picks & Best Bet (Nov. 8)
Last Updated: November 7, 2026 3:00 PM EST • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
My best Browns vs. Saints prediction focuses on how the Browns' defense will shut down a pass-happy Saints offense. Additionally, with Deshaun Watson missing this game with a concussion, I explain why Shedeur Sanders will probably struggle, even against one of the worst pass defenses in the league.
The Saints are favored by 2.5 points ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The game will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Browns vs. Saints prediction & best bet
Under 42.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
The Saints rank 28th in the league with just 86.0 rushing yards per game. They're averaging just 3.5 yards per carry, which ranks 30th, and they're averaging 39.0 passes to just 24.4 rushes per game this season.
The Browns' defense is a matchup nightmare for the Saints, as the unit ranks sixth in passing yards allowed per game (196.6). The Browns are allowing opponents to complete just 59.54% of their passes, while holding opponents to just 6.0 yards per pass attempt. Over their last three games, the Browns have held opponents to just 163.3 passing yards per game.
Though Tyler Shough has thrown for at least 250 yards in five of his seven games this season, he's thrown for 144 or fewer in two of his last three. Additionally, he has thrown at least one interception in four of his seven starts, and I expect him to throw at least one against a defense that has six interceptions, tied for the 10th-most in the league.
📡 SBR Edge
The Browns have the second-worst red-zone touchdown percentage in the NFL, finding the end zone on just 42.86% of chances this season. While the Saints have the second-best red-zone touchdown percentage (77.27%), the Browns have allowed teams to score on just 48% of red-zone chances.
Browns quarterback situation is troublesome
Watson has thrown for at least 300 yards in his last two starts, but after showing concussion symptoms following last week's game, Shedeur Sanders has been tabbed as the starter for Sunday.
Sanders has thrown just three passes this season. While he's completed all of them, he's managed just two passing yards. Last season, he completed just 56.6% of his passes for 1,400 yards, seven touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. While he had one 364-yard game, he threw for 209 yards or fewer in his other seven appearances.
The Saints rank 24th in passing yards allowed per game, giving up 233.3 per contest. But with Sanders inconsistent last season and unknown this season, I can't trust him to properly take advantage of this matchup.
