Defense will be the theme of Christmas Day's matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos, but that's just fine for bettors. Read on for our Broncos-Rams same-game parlay pick and prediction.

The Los Angeles Rams and Denver Broncos are ranked 31st and 32nd, respectively, in scoring this season. The Broncos are averaging just 15.6 points per game, while the Rams are averaging 16.4 points per outing.

The Broncos are road favorites in this one, likely because of their defensive play this season. They are allowing just 18.1 points per game. With points and yardage at a premium, what bets offer the best value when parlayed together?

SGP Predictions for Broncos vs. Rams

Denver Broncos Under 1.5 touchdowns (+210) ⭐⭐⭐

The Broncos have strung together two good offensive performances in a row, but that is definitely not the norm for them this season. Prior to the last two weeks, they had gone four consecutive games without scoring more than one touchdown.

The Rams’ defense has allowed five of their last six opponents to score in the 20s. Yet, the Broncos have only achieved that number four times all season and twice in the last two games. It may be tempting to look at Denver as having turned the corner, but the Broncos should regress to their average this week against a defense that can definitely cause Russell Wilson problems.

Cam Akers anytime touchdown scorer (+150) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s hard to find anyone who is a lock to score a touchdown in this game considering how hard touchdowns are going to be to come by. Yet, Akers feels like the best option because of his line and also because of the production he has had in recent weeks. 

Akers has three touchdowns in the last three weeks, and though the Rams are averaging just 0.7 rushing touchdowns per game this season, running the ball is the best way to score against the Broncos. Denver’s defense leads the league in fewest passing touchdowns allowed this year.

The lines for wide receivers simply aren’t good enough, considering how inconsistent they have been this season. And Latavius Murray is currently -105 to score a touchdown when he is going to be splitting goal-line carries with Marlon Mack.

Under 36.5 points (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This number is very low, but these two offenses simply aren’t good enough to warrant an Over play. With so many star players out for the Rams, and with the Broncos' offense struggling throughout the year with Wilson under center, this game could end with both teams barely cracking double-digits.

If this total does go Over, it won’t be because this game is a shootout, it will be because one offense exceeded expectations. With these two teams, though, that is a risk worth taking.
