The Golden Bears enter the ACC Tournament after losing seven of their last eight games, including three double-digit defeats. Additionally, the Golden Bears are just 1-10 when playing outside of the Pacific time zone. Traveling across the country for this tournament is going to be a huge detriment to their success.
The Hokies enter the tournament after losing five of their last seven, but two of those losses were to ranked teams, and another was to the tournament-hopeful North Carolina Tar Heels. They managed to defeat the Golden Bears in Cal earlier this season, a place where California finished 11-6. And although that was just a three-point win, the Hokies were ahead 20-plus points during the second half.
