Our Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics Wednesday player props, based on the best NBA odds, focus on Jason Tatum and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (52-23) lost a close one to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday and have dropped to third spot in the Western Conference. Coming off a big win over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, the Boston Celtics (59-16) have won 11 of their last 13 games and are rounding into peak form as the playoffs near. Wednesday's game tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET from TD Garden.

The Celtics have already clinched the Eastern Conference with seven games remaining as they look for their 60th win. Meanwhile, the Thunder are jockeying for position at the top of the Western Conference with just half a game separating them, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has missed three of four but could return against the Celtics, and Jaylen Brown sat out Boston’s last game and is in danger of missing two in a row. We have three combo props for this marquee matchup between conference powerhouses.

Here are our best Thunder vs. Celtics player prop predictions and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Thunder vs. Celtics predictions

Jayson Tatum Over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

Tatum has averaged 40.4 points + rebounds + assists (PRAs) on the season, hitting the Over on this line in 35 of 70 appearances overall. He’s hit the mark in eight of 18 matchups since the All-Star break, but he may be playing without Jaylen Brown on Wednesday. Brown is dealing with a sprained left hand, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Boston chose to play it safe and not rush him back.

Tatum has hit the Over in five of nine games with Brown sidelined and put up exactly 39 PRAs in two more. He’s averaged 41.8 with Brown out compared to 40.2 with Brown in the lineup. This is a favorable line for Tatum regardless of Brown’s status, so we’ll take the Over even if Brown is available. The implied probability of the -110 odds is 52.4%, which is appropriate given Tatum’s season-long averages and performance without Brown.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

SGA has missed three of the Thunder’s last four, and he’s listed as questionable for tonight’s matchup with Boston. He played Sunday, so we hope Tuesday’s absence was precautionary for the first night of a back-to-back set.

On the season, Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 42.1 PRAs, and he’s hit the Over on this line in 51 of 71 appearances, good for 71.8%. The -115 odds come at a discount with just a 53.5% implied probability. The Celtics are nine-point favorites at home, and SGA will need to be at his best to get his team back in the win column following Tuesday’s narrow loss. We’ll take the Over on a prop that Gilgeous-Alexander has cashed far more often than not this season.

Derrick White Over 26.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

White has hit the Over in six of his last nine games and averaged 32.1 points + rebounds + assists in that span. Before the All-Star break, he averaged 24.2, but that number has grown to 27.6 post-break. White put up 30 PRAs against the Thunder in his first matchup, and we’re betting he’ll have another strong performance Wednesday.

The standard -110 odds at DraftKings on this line offer a 52.4% implied probability, but White has hit the Over in 66.7% of his last nine, so we’re getting a discount here. Oklahoma City allows the sixth-most rebounds and 13th-most assists to opponents this season. We can feel even more confident about taking the Over if Jaylen Brown sits, as White has averaged 30.2 points+rebounds+assists with Brown sidelined compared to 24 with Brown available.
