📡 SBR Edge: Thunder Can't Weather the Storm in Game 7

My Spurs vs. Thunder prediction for Game 7 today features a best bet on the spread, my top player prop, and an SGP at +310 odds. I’m playing Spurs +3.5 (-108), as the market is underreacting to how thin Oklahoma City’s roster will be without both Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell. My top player prop is Victor Wembanyama Under 12.5 rebounds (+100). He has struggled to rebound as Isaiah Hartenstein has played more minutes against him, yet the market is still holding firm at 12.5.

🏆 Who will win Spurs vs. Thunder?

I like Spurs ML (+137 via Pinnacle), though DraftKings’ spread is more widely available, so that’s what I’m playing as my best bet. If Spurs ML hits, I expect San Antonio to win by seven or more points, as the margin of victory in each game this series has ranged from seven to 27 points. The Thunder are too shorthanded without Williams and Mitchell, while the Spurs have regained their confidence after routing OKC in Game 6.

Score prediction: Spurs 108, Thunder 101

💰 Spurs vs. Thunder prediction & best bet

Follow all of our NBA analysis and expert predictions this season.

Spurs +3.5 (-108)

We saw what happened in Game 6 when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander couldn’t rely on a secondary scorer or distributor, key roles that a healthy Williams or Mitchell would fill. Jared McCain and Alex Caruso have had good series, but they’re not consistent enough to rely on for the entirety of the West finals.

The Spurs, meanwhile, have come back to life with Wembanyama asserting himself as a scorer. After a disappointing Game 5, he exploded for 22 points in the first half on Thursday, and in Game 7, we’ll likely see similar aggression from Wembanyama as OKC deals with depth issues.

🔥 Best Spurs vs. Thunder player prop bet

Victor Wembanyama Under 12.5 rebounds (+100)

I’ve been riding this bet for a while - here and here, for example - as Wembanyama has gone under this line in four straight games. However, just because he’s cashed in four straight doesn’t mean we’re blindly betting it. Wembanyama averaged the fourth-highest rebounds per game in the regular season, but Hartenstein has been sent in to rough him up on box-outs and keep him away from the ball - and it’s been working.

Wembanyama has just a 50% adjusted rebound chance percentage in the last four games (compared to 66% for Hartenstein). BetMGM lists Wembanyama Under 12.5 rebounds at +100, but I'd also be comfortable playing Under 12.5 (-119) at DraftKings.

🚀 Spurs vs. Thunder same-game parlay

DraftKings is overreacting to the negative correlation in this parlay. They're pricing Spurs +3.5 with Wembanyama Under 12.5 rebounds at +310, while FanDuel - which is known as the best recreational book at pricing SGPs - is offering just +255.
