Best NBA Parlays Today: Picks, Predictions for Thursday's Games

LeBron James is 89 points away from becoming the NBA's all-time points leader, and we're hoping that means plenty of points Thursday. Jon Metler has selected five of his favorite NBA player props for Thursday's games using the latest NBA odds. 

It's difficult to determine who had a worse night on Wednesday, me or Chris Paul.

(Spoiler: it's me. Paul still made a boatload of money by playing last night, while I lost a unit.)

The fact that James is just 89 points away from passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most points in NBA history made it only appropriate to include him in our same game parlay as he chases history. 

Here are our NBA SGP picks for Thursday (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook).

NBA SGP predictions

Bam Adebayo 6+ rebounds vs. Knicks (-850)

Adebayo has a total of 9.5 rebounds against the New York Knicks on Thursday, but the projections love him to soar past this number. The alternate total of 6+ rebounds should be trading at -1650, not -850, based on Adebayo's projection of 11.3 rebounds.

Jarrett Allen 6+ rebounds vs. Grizzles (-1200)

Allen has eclipsed this total in each of his last ten games for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and his projections indicate he will do so again Thursday against the Memphis Grizzles. With Allen projected to have just under 11 rebounds, we can price this prop at -1310, which means he has only the slightest edge. 

LaMelo Ball 4+ rebounds vs. Bulls (-700)

Fresh off a triple-double against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, Ball has been a rebounding machine over the last three games, averaging 9.3 boards per. As Ball is projected to grab seven boards against the Bulls on Thursday, we can price this prop at -775. 

CJ McCollum 15+ points vs. Mavericks (-700)

McCollum is one of my favorite players in the NBA, and it has nothing to do with the fact that he eliminated Duke from March Madness while playing for Lehigh. With McCollum projected for just over 23 points on Thursday, we can price this prop at -770 for him to score 15+.

Jimmy Butler 15+ points vs. Knicks (-800) 

Butler is one player who is not afraid of the bright lights of a TNT Thursday night game at the world's most famous arena. There's a feeling that Butler will pop off, and projections indicate that he will exceed his points total on Thursday. We can price Butler at -875 to score 15+ points based on a projection of 23.9 points. 

LeBron James 20+ points vs. Pacers (-1450)

James is questionable for Thursday night's game against the Indiana Pacers, but I expect him to play. With 89 points standing between King James and history, he'll want to set himself up to be able to break the all-time points record at home next week. James has scored 20+ points in 34 straight games. 

Luka Doncic 6+ rebounds vs. Pelicans (-850)

Doncic has a total of 9.5 rebounds at FanDuel on Thursday, and the projections indicate he will surpass this total with just over 10. Using this projection, we can price Doncic at -980 for 6+ rebounds against the Pelicans.

Why is this a good NBA SGP?

It's rare to hear the words same-game parlay and positive expected value in the same sentence, but let us compare our price with that of FanDuel. 

By parlaying all of our prices together, we arrive at a price point of +106. However, FanDuel offers us this parlay at a price of +128. Therefore, this bet has a positive expected value of 11%.
