New Orleans and Oklahoma City clash Wednesday after a thrilling Game 1, as we offer our best Pelicans vs. Thunder player props for Game 2 based on the best NBA odds.

After combining for the best Game 1 finish of these 2024 NBA playoffs, the New Orleans Pelicans (49-33) and Oklahoma City Thunder (57-25) are set to do battle on Wednesday in Game 2, which tips off at 9:30 p.m. ET on TNT from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

According to our best sports betting sites, the Thunder enter this game as 7.5-point favorites to secure a 2-0 series lead at home and bolster their already favorable NBA championship odds. With Zion Williamson (hamstring) on the shelf, the Pelicans will be hard-pressed to stay competitive in the title race.

To accompany our Heat vs. Celtics player props and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander player props, here are our best Pelicans vs. Thunder player props and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Pelicans vs. Thunder prop bet predictions for Wednesday

Brandon Ingram Under 19.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

At what point do we start asking if Ingram is truly healthy less than 10 days after returning from a left knee contusion? And if he is, then what else explains his poor performance?

Even with Williamson sidelined, Ingram has averaged 15 points on 43.1% shooting since his return. He scored just 12 points on 5-for-17 shooting on Sunday and made one of his seven attempts against primary defender Luguentz Dort, whom Ingram praised after the game for his physical defense in Game 1.

Even before Ingram's injury, he reached 20 points in just 34 of 63 games this season, including two of his last eight games before an extended hiatus. Whatever the cause may be for his struggles, I don't expect things to change Wednesday.

Trey Murphy III Over 19.5 points + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With Ingram still finding his form, Murphy has stepped up as of late, scoring 21 points in Game 1 after clearing 20 points in three of his previous six games.

That comes amid a torrid run for the third-year wing, who averaged 18.1 points over his final 24 games of the regular season. He's also been a willing passer, recording at least two assists in 16 consecutive games since he became a regular starter while averaging 2.9 dimes in that stretch.

With this combo total sitting 2-3 ticks above his scoring total across our best sportsbooks, I love the value on this prop at -105 odds, which would pay out $19.52 on a $10 wager based on our odds converter.

Chet Holmgren Over 2.5 blocks ⭐⭐⭐

Holmgren made history on Sunday, becoming just the 10th player in NBA history to record five blocks in his postseason debut.

It was another feather in the cap of the sensational rookie, who ranked fifth in the regular season in blocks per game (2.3) and second in block rate (7.3%) across 82 games. He saved his best for last in Game 1, swatting Larry Nance Jr. twice in the final minutes to secure the win.

These -125 odds imply a 55.56% chance that Holmgren will clear his season average, so there's a bit of a leap of faith that his playoff debut was for real. I'm a full believer and expect another inspired effort from the burgeoning 7-foot-1 center.
