Best bets today from around the NBA.

Monday’s modest NBA slate features some tried and true wagers and a pair of plus-money player props. Read on for our best NBA bets of the day.

Despite dealing with a number of key injuries and sporting one of the worst rosters in the Association, the San Antonio Spurs have played competitively in spurts throughout the season, and they can cover tonight as huge road underdogs against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Chicago Bulls’ offense has been humming as of late, and will head to face the Boston Celtics in what could be a high-scoring shootout at TD Garden.

We’re taking a look at big men for our player props, including one of the NBA’s best passers in Domantas Sabonis who’s in a favorable position against the Orlando Magic to crush his assist prop. Daniel Gafford has found his footing in the Washington Wizards’ jumbo starting lineup, and we’ll look to cash in on his points prop which is set a little too low.

Here are our NBA best bets for Monday (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, Caesars, PointsBet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

NBA Top Picks

Total: Bulls-Celtics Over 235.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We featured the Bulls in Saturday’s best bets column, and the total of 244 points finished Over. Why not go back to the well for a matchup with one of the NBA’s highest-scoring teams in Boston?

Boston is 20-18-2 on the season, 13-6-1 as the home favorite, and the team has hit the Over in three of the last four games. Chicago is 12-8 on the road, hitting the Over in seven of the last nine games. The Celtics average the most points per game in the NBA at 118.1 and the second most at home at 122.6. Chicago ranks 12th in points per game at 115.1, but is third over the last three games at 124.3. The total on this game ranges from 236 to 236.5 across all but one of our featured books, as PointsBet is offering the 235.5 total at the same -110 odds, making it the best book for our Bulls-Celtics bet.

Spread: Spurs +11.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? We’ll revisit another Saturday bet that cashed by taking the Spurs to cover another big spread. Despite missing Devin Vassell and Jakob Poeltl for a number of recent games, the San Antonio Spurs have covered in three straight and six of the last eight. The team is 4-3 when they’re underdogs of 10 or more points this season.

The Grizzlies have been phenomenal ATS at home this season, going 13-5-1 in that scenario. When favored by a larger spread, however, that record begins to regress. The Grizzlies are just 4-6 in games in which they’ve been favored by seven points or more, including a 3-3 clip in home games. Memphis is 1-2 when favored by at least 11 points, and they failed to cover against San Antonio in a meeting earlier in the season. The spread and odds for this wager are standard across all of our major books.

Prop: Domantas Sabonis Over 7.5 assists (+120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sabonis is one of the best passing big men in the game, so we’re targeting a plus-money assists wager in a favorable matchup against the Magic. Orlando is 18th in opponent assists, allowing 25.5 per contest. Sabonis is averaging 6.7 per game this season.

He’s been hot in that department as of late, dishing 7.8 dimes across his last eight contests and handing out at least eight in five of them. He’s recorded at least eight assists in 11 of 37 games this season, but dished at least seven in 10 more contests. This isn’t an outrageous total for him to hit, so we’ll take advantage of these profitable odds. Four of our featured books listed this prop at 7.5 assists, with PointsBet (6.5) being the only exception. We’ll take the longest odds at DraftKings (+120) for maximum value.

Prop: Daniel Gafford Over 11.5 points (+102) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Danny G has played great basketball since being named a full-time starter, and across those nine games with him in the lineup, the Wizards are 6-3. He’s picked up his scoring as a starter, and he’s on a five-game streak of double-digit scoring heading into tonight’s matchup with the Pelicans.

Across his last five, Gafford has averaged 13.6 points and scored at least 11 points in every contest. He’s scored at least 12 points three times. The Pelicans allow the eighth-most points in the paint per game on the road this season, which bodes well for a guy who takes all of his shots close to the basket. With Bradley Beal still sidelined, there are extra offensive touches to go around in Washington.

PointsBet was the only featured book that didn’t offer this one at 11.5, and instead offered it at 10.5 for -125 odds. Caesars offered it at 11.5 but with -103 odds, and both BetMGM and DraftKings offered it at +100. FanDuel comes in with the best odds by a hair at +102.
