76ers vs. Hawks ATS Pick

Hawks -1.5 (-110) ★★★★★

Both teams are 5-6 ATS on the season. The Sixers are 1-1 as the road underdog, while the Hawks are 2-3 as home favorites. The trends don’t favor either team, and the odds are essentially a pick‘em Thursday.

The 76ers are still a great team even without Harden, but the Hawks have one of the best backcourts in the league with two explosive scorers in Young and Murray. Murray is an elite defender who should be able to slow down Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey. If Maxey isn’t effective as a scorer, Philadelphia will have a tough time winning this game. We’ll take the home team and wager via FanDuel to avoid a push. This is the only major book offering 1.5 points instead of the flat 1.

76ers vs. Hawks O/U Pick

Over 222.5 (-107) ★★★★★

These teams have a combined Over/Under record of 12-10 to the Over this season. The Sixers beat Phoenix on Monday and are 4-0 to the Over after a win this season. Atlanta lost to the Utah Jazz Wednesday, and the team is 2-1 to the Over after a loss, 1-0 on the second game of a back-to-back set, and 3-2 as the home favorite.

Philadelphia allows 111.0 points per game on the road, and Atlanta allows 117.2 PPG at home, so even if both defenses are just average here, we should hit the Over at this modest total.

76ers vs. Hawks Prop Pick

Embiid Over 11.5 rebounds (+155) ★★★★★

With Harden sidelined for the foreseeable future, the Sixers will lean heavily on Maxey and De’Anthony Melton for their playmaking abilities, but they’ll need Embiid to crash the glass against Clint Capela, John Collins, and Onyeka Okongwu on Thursday.

Embiid is averaging just 9.6 boards per game this season, but he’s pulled down at least 12 in three games, and his average is down due to a pair of duds against the Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors. Atlanta allows the fifth most rebounds per game to opposing teams this season, and PointsBet is offering this prop at plus money.
