The Valkyries have a chance to clinch their first WNBA championship in franchise history Thursday, but my Valkyries vs. Dream prediction expects the home side to bounce back in Game 6 after consecutive losses.

My WNBA picks back the Dream as a 4.5-point betting favorite despite trailing 3-2 in the WNBA Finals. Tipoff from State Farm Arena in Atlanta is set for 12:30 p.m. ET (USA Network, Peacock, E!). The total is set at 147.5.

Valkyries vs. Dream prediction & best bet

Dream -4.5 (-105 via BetMGM)

Spread results can be noisy, and while the Dream have lost each of the last two games, they're still the better team.

I believe this line will be closer to -6 at post than -4.5. The Dream still have a WNBA-best +7 point differential this postseason, so I'm not going to overreact to a pair of single-digit losses. Had something fundamentally changed in this series, like a key starter being injured, I would be willing to budge on my Dream take.

I don't expect the Dream to win this series, despite being the better team overall, but I believe they have a better than 51.22% chance of covering -4.5.

Score prediction: Dream 76, Valkyries 70

Best Valkyries vs. Dream player prop bet

Rhyne Howard Over 15.5 points (+100 via FanDuel)

Forget that Rhyne Howard has scored 16 or more points in each of the last three games, as one of those cashes was somewhat fluky.

I'm more impressed with how many shots she's attempting. Howard has attempted 14 or more field goals in seven of her 10 games this postseason, and with the Dream's season on the line, we may see her take on an even larger role in the offense.

Howard has averaged the second-most points per game on the Dream this postseason at 16.8 PPG, compared to 17.0 for Angel Reese, but Howard has been more consistent. Her median scoring output is 17.0 points, while Reese's is 16.0.
