The Connecticut Sun (4-20) host the Seattle Storm (15-11) tonight, and our Storm vs. Sun odds and prediction examines if the Sun can build off their biggest win of the season. Tipoff is 7 p.m. ET at Mohegan Sun Arena (ESPN3) in Uncasville, Conn.

The Sun rolled to a 31-point win over the Golden State Valkyries on Sunday, but find themselves 12.5-point betting underdogs on the second night of a back-to-back. It's a much bigger spread than in the WNBA nightcap we encounter in our Liberty vs. Wings prediction.

The Storm lost to the Sun on July 9, and they’ve dropped three of their past six games since then. This team is currently unpredictable and not worth trusting when it comes to a hefty moneyline price tag.

To pick a winner, however, it’s difficult to believe in the Sun pulling off back-to-back upset victories.

While I expect Seattle to win the third head-to-head matchup, I believe in Connecticut enough to bet on a better offensive showing.

The Sun have shown more offensive punch in recent games, averaging 86.5 points over their last four outings. If Connecticut can clear its team total (72.5), I like the chances of this full-game line cashing the Over.

With a projection of 161, I like this Over at 157.5 or better as the best bet for my Storm vs. Sun prediction.

Mabrey returned last Thursday for the Sun after a month-long absence. She scored seven points in her first game back before recording 15 in Sunday’s win.

Still, I’m taking the Under due to her usage. Mabrey has played 46 minutes in her two games back, suggesting her conditioning isn’t quite up to her usual standards. That suggests value on a normal scoring prop as my best Storm vs. Sun player prop.
