Wimbledon Prediction 2026: Jannik Sinner vs. Alexander Zverev Final Best Bets
Last Updated: July 11, 2026 11:09 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
The top two seeds in the Men's Draw battle it out for the Wimbledon title as No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner looks to defend last year's championship, while No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev looks to win his second straight Major. My Wimbledon prediction for the Sinner vs. Zverev final acknowledges the Italian's head-to-head dominance in this rivalry, and expects him to prevail as the better grass-court player.
Sinner is as high as a -500 betting favorite.
Along with my outright Sinner prediction, I make the case for him to win in four sets for more value from a prop perspective.

🆚 Jannik Sinner vs. Alexander Zverev pick to win
Here's my pick to win the Wimbledon men's final, and why I'm choosing Sinner:
Jannik Sinner ML (-400)
Jannik Sinner not only leads the head-to-head matchup 10-4 against Alexander Zverev, but he has won nine straight, including four just this year alone. While Zverev did well to overcome another lopsided rivalry in ending a seven-match losing streak to Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals, beating the top-ranked player in the world at a tournament he has won 13 straight matches (and 17 consecutive sets) is a different task.
If Zverev did pull the upset, he would become just the first man since John Newcombe in 1967 to win his first two Majors consecutively. He is also just the third man in the Open Era to reach a final at a Major after immediately winning his first.
There is some history working against Sinner, as Bjorn Borg is the only men's player in the Open Era to go on to win the Wimbledon title after enduring a five-set match in the opening round. But the Italian has found his footing with straight-set victories in the five matches since, and Zverev cannot be trusted to pull the upset after never having been past the fourth round at Wimbledon prior to this run.
🔥 Best Jannik Sinner vs. Alexander Zverev prop pick
Sinner to win in four sets (3-1) (+250)
In the nine-match win streak Sinner has over Zverev, seven of those have been in straight sets, with the Italian winning 12 consecutive sets overall. Some of those have been lopsided sets, with Sinner winning by 6-3 or better seven times in that 12-set span, which means I wouldn't put anyone off backing him to cover the -5.5 game spread. But that same number also has me believing Zverev will keep this match close, as does his -200 odds (carrying a 66.67% implied probability) to win at least one set at BetMGM.
Sinner cruised to a straight-set victory over Djokovic, in large part because of the Serbian's uncharacteristically low percentage of points won on his second serve (41%, which was as low as 30% midway through the deciding set). Conversely, Zverev won 78% of his first-serve points and a whopping 89% of his points on his second serve against Fery, while only surrendering one break-point opportunity the entire match.
Sinner has served 113 aces so far, which is a career-high for a Grand Slam. While breaking his serve will be awfully difficult, I am banking on Zverev taking a set in a tiebreak, where he has a 6-1 record at Wimbledon this year. It's hard to believe that a player who is 18-1 at Majors this year and is the first German to reach all four Major finals will bow out in straight sets, no matter how lopsided this rivalry has been.
