Wimbledon finalists Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic are the men's favorites, while Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka are the front-runners on the women's side by the 2024 US Open odds.
Djokovic and Alcaraz will be at it again during the 2024 US Open, which will be held from Aug. 26 to Sept. 28. While the prodigy vs. GOAT provides an intriguing storyline, Italian and third-favorite Jannik Sinner will probably have something to say about who wins the season's fourth grand slam.
Sinner remains No. 1 in the ATP rankings.
Daniil Medvedev also offers an ever-present threat on the hard surfaces at Flushing Meadows, while Rafael Nadal is expected to play, elevating the tournament's already sky-high hype.
On the women's side, World No. 1 Iga Swiatek and World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka are the lead candidates to win. Meanwhile, Coco Gauff, who won her first US Open crown in 2023, is the third favorite, trending closely behind the two front-runners.

Men's US Open favorites
Carlos Alcaraz (+165)
Alcaraz has been white hot over the past year as the 21-year-old quickly rises to superstardom. He ousted the legendary Djokovic during the final at Wimbledon, but that's only his latest triumph in a Grand Slam.
Alcaraz also took home the French Open title earlier in 2024, and that came after securing Wimbledon in 2023. Even more impressively, he's not far removed from winning the US Open in 2022.
He's gone 33-6 in 2024, and also boasts an Indian Wells victory. It's very clear why Alcaraz is the only player universally listed below +200, and as short as +105 through FanDuel.
Best odds: +165 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 37.74%
Novak Djokovic (+220)
Djokovic's list of career accomplishments is lengthy, and the 37-year-old has shown little sign of slowing after reaching the Wimbledon final.
He added three more Grand Slams to his collection in 2023, including his fourth US Open title. However, there are hints that a changing of the guard could be underway as Alcaraz and Sinner ascend the ranks quickly.
Those two have been trading turns knocking off Djokovic during Grand Slam events recently, with Alcaraz doing it at Wimbledon and Sinner sending the legend home during the semifinals of the Australian Open.
Best odds: +220 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 31.25%
Jannik Sinner (+240)
Sinner lurks only slightly behind Djokovic at our best live betting sites, and even ahead of him at BetMGM. There's a sizable dropoff by the odds after Sinner, with Medvedev listed as long as +700.
Sinner might be the least accomplished of the top three, but that could change in a hurry. He reached his first major final earlier this year at the Australian Open after besting Djokovic in the semifinals, then sealed the crown while knocking off Medvedev. He also advanced to the semifinals in the 2024 French Open and at Wimbledon last year.
Best odds: +240 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 29.41%

Women's US Open favorites
Iga Swiatek (+325)
Swiatek is masterful on clay, which is why she's already won the French Open four times at the age of 23, including in 2024.
But although she excels on that surface, Swiatek is by no means one dimensional. She's not too far removed from a US Open victory in 2022, the same year she also reached the semifinal of the Australian Open.
She's coming off disappointment at Wimbledon, but past dominance nonetheless slots her as a co-favorite alongside Aryna Sabalenka heading into the US Open.
Best odds: +325 via Caesars | Implied probability: 23.53%
Aryna Sabalenka (+350)
Swiatek and Sabalenka are getting identical odds at three of our books that offer the best sportsbook promos. However, Swiatek is the only one getting a price below +300 anywhere (BetMGM).
An injury and an illness have slowed Sabalenka at different points in 2024. But she's still been shining overall recently while winning the Australian Open two straight times and appearing in at least the semifinal during all but one Grand Slam since the beginning of 2023. That includes last year's US Open when she lost to Coco Gauff.
Best odds: +350 via Caesars | Implied probability: 22.22%
Coco Gauff (+650)
Gauff turned aside Sabalenka at just 19 years old during last year's US Open to earn her first career major win.
She's sustained that brilliance on the brightest stages while reaching the semifinals in two majors so far in 2024 (the Australian Open and French Open). Gauff also took the ASB Classic in New Zealand earlier this year.
Best odds: +650 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 13.33%
