The Hamilton Tiger-Cats head to BC Place in Vancouver to take on the BC Lions on Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET (TSN/RDS, CFL+).

  • With Hamilton's offensive turnaround, our Tiger-Cats vs. Lions prediction expects this to be a high-scoring matchup
  • The Lions have the third-shortest Grey Cup odds thanks to an offense full of All-Star-level playmakers
  • Even with his recent struggles, Nathan Rourke remains the second-favorite by the CFL Most Outstanding Player odds

The Tiger-Cats are 6.5-point underdogs at our best sportsbooks in Canada in what could end up being a shootout.

After starting the season 2-9, Hamilton's managed three straight wins behind an offense that's come to life with Bo Levi Mitchell under center.

Over their last three games, the Tiger-Cats are averaging 33.6 points per game and Mitchell has thrown for 1,008 yards and five touchdowns with just one interception.

He along with Tim White, Shemar Bridges, and Steven Dunbar should toast the Lions' defense. BC's allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game (287.6) and the highest QB rating in the CFL (108.3).

Rourke bounces back off bye

With BC coming off a bye week, head coach Rick Campbell has doubled down on Rourke being his starter after a benching in Week 15.

The former CFL Most Outstanding Canadian is poised to get back on track against this Hamilton defense. It's allowing the most points per game in the CFL (31.4), the third-most yards per game (386.7), and a QB rating of 100.2.

With Rourke throwing to Justin McInnis and Keon Hatcher, and handing it off to William Stanback, the Lions should look strong against the Tiger-Cats.

Between Hamilton's explosive offense and non-existent defense, the Tiger-Cats are the best Over bet in the CFL (10-4). If they hit it again, a $10 bet pays a $9.52 profit.
