Hamilton nearly beat the Calgary Stampeders in Week 2. Ticats quarterback Dane Evans threw for over 400 yards while logging three touchdown passes in the contest. The team's defense held the Stamps to only a field goal in the first half. Unfortunately, Hamilton couldn't maintain that effectiveness in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Blue Bombers enter after beating the Ottawa Redblacks two straight weeks. However, both victories were one-score wins. Their hands will be full against a Hamilton team that just went toe to toe with another Western Division opponent and almost won.

Winnipeg's first two wins have come by a combined nine points. The Tiger-Cats escaped Week 1 with a two-point victory. They then held a one-point lead through most of Week 2 before opening up a narrow advantage during the fourth quarter. The Ticats took the Stamps into overtime last week before losing by a field goal.    

These two teams went into overtime during the 2021 Grey Cup. Bombers running back Andrew Harris played a large part in his team's eventual win. Harris is no longer with the club, which is the edge Hamilton needs to win.
