Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring versus Nate Diaz. Here are the Paul vs. Diaz odds.
U.S. boxer Jake Paul speaks to the press in Riyadh on Feb. 23 ahead of his boxing match with Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul will make his return to the boxing ring this summer against former UFC star Nate Diaz. If their mid-May press conference was any indication, viewers are in for quite the spectacle. Here are the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz odds via our best sports betting sites.

Fresh off his first professional boxing loss, Jake Paul will take on another former mixed martial artist when he meets UFC fan favorite Nate Diaz on Aug. 5.

Paul was unbeaten through seven pro bouts before suffering a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury in February. However, his record is unblemished against former UFC stars. He owns a TKO of Ben Askren in 2021, two 2021 victories over Tyron Woodley, and a unanimous decision win over Anderson Silva in October.

Diaz is a 34-fight veteran and just wrapped up a 16-year stint with the UFC. He pulled off a submission win over Tony Ferguson in his last trip into the Octagon in September 2022.

Here are the current Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz betting odds (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook).

DraftKings, FanDuel, and PointsBet are currently the only three of our best sports betting apps listing a line for the prospective August bout. Paul opens as a heavy favorite, which should come as no surprise considering he owns a size advantage (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) over Diaz (6-foot-0, 170 pounds). Diaz will also be making his first foray into the boxing realm.

The odds vary considerably between the two books. PointsBet's -280 odds infer a 73.69% implied probability of Paul winning while the -260 odds from DraftKings translate to a 72.22% implied win probability.

PointsBet also offers a three-way fight outright line, with a draw priced at +1500, Diaz at +210, and Paul at -230.

Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz early pick

Paul (-260 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐

Let's face it, the Jake Paul money-printing machine could come to a sudden halt with another defeat. The former YouTube personality has carved out a niche as a pay-per-view performer and has chosen his opponents carefully, beginning with 5-foot-9 former NBA point guard Nate Robinson and more recently with Askren and Woodley, who specialize as wrestlers.

Paul has again meticulously arrived on his next opponent. The boxing match will be fought at 185 pounds and Diaz spent much of his MMA career fighting at 155 pounds.

Diaz's MMA record of 21-13 includes two knockout losses and three defeats in his last five fights. Most of his victories have come by way of submission (12).

While Diaz has a fall-back plan of returning to the UFC and wrapping up a trilogy with fellow MMA star Conor McGregor, Paul can't continue to command multi-million dollar fights without another - likely controversial - victory.
