The Grey Cup odds favorite Toronto Argonauts look to avoid a second straight loss when they host the Calgary Stampeders today in the CFL's Week 2 at BMO Field in Toronto at 4 p.m. ET (TSN, CBSSN, CFL+). 🆚 Who will win Stampeders vs. Argonauts?

Toronto just didn't look right in its Week 1 loss to the Montreal Alouettes, and it's hard to imagine much will change on offense in Week 2. With Chad Kelly still out and a non-existent run game, the Stampeders' offense is in much better shape than the Argos' thanks to QB Vernon Adams Jr.

Calgary's new trigger man had a solid debut for the Stamps last week and should build on it in Week 2 with the talent around him. I've got Dave Dickenson's squad winning this one by a projected score of 27-23.

It appears that cutting Ka'Deem Carey just ahead of the start of the CFL season has already come back to bite the Argos. Carey was third in the league in rushing last year (1,060), and without him in Week 1, Toronto's leading rusher was QB Nick Arbuckle (17 yards) while running backs Deonta Mcmahon and Miyan Williams combined for just 17 yards on seven carries.

Between no run game, no Kelly, and Arbuckle not being able to ride the momentum of last year's Grey Cup play into this season, Toronto's offense looks out of sorts. Even with Damonte Coxie set to fill in nicely for Makai Polk, who signed with the Atlanta Falcons, Toronto's losses from its Grey Cup winning team are noticeable.

Meanwhile, the Stamps look refreshed with Adams at QB. The Oregon product helped the team hang 38 on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Week 1 with Reggie Beleton, Clark Barnes, Tevin Jones, and Jalen Philpot shaping up to be one of the more underrated pass-catching corps in the league.

There's just so much more to like about Calgary's offense heading into this matchup, especially with the way Mills ran in Week 1.

Though Mills has never topped 1,000 yards in his CFL career, the 28-year-old has been one of the league's most consistent backs the last few years. In 34 career CFL games, Mills has rushed for 2,278 yards (67 per game) on 5.9 yards per attempt.

The 238-pounder out of Nebraska is a bruiser with big-play ability, and it showed in Week 1 when he racked up 94 rushing yards and three scores against Hamilton. He should see a steady dose of touches again in Week 2 and go Over 58.5 rushing yards for the seventh time in his last nine games.
