Caesars US Promo Code: Philadelphia Phillies vs. Houston Astros

The Astros kicked off Game 5 with a Jose Altuve double which he turned into a triple on an error. Rookie shortstop Jeremy Peña drove him in two pitches later to give Houston the early lead. Peña added a second run, breaking a 1-1 tie in the fourth with a shot to left field. Despite several attempts by the Phillies to gain the advantage, the Astros held firm ultimately leaving Philadelphia with a 3-2 win which now matches their lead in the series.

For Game 6, Houston will turn to Framber Valdez who has already been clutch for the Astros in this series. The lefty started in Game 2 going 6 1/3 innings allowing just four hits while walking three and surrendering one earned run. He is 2-0 this offseason having claimed victory against the New York Yankees in Game 2 of the ALCS. He boasts a 1.42 ERA over the course of the postseason. He’s given up 12 total hits in his three appearances while issuing just six walks.

Valdez and the Astros won the battle the last time they faced Philadelphia starter Zach Wheeler in Game 2. Houston touched up Wheeler for three runs in the first adding two more in the fifth inning on the way to the win. Leadoff hitter Jose Altuve and clean-up batter Alex Bregman were the offensive heroes of the day. Altuve continued to set the table with his three hits with Bregman plating two of the Astros’ five runs.

After several heroic Game 5 performances, Houston returns home with the confidence to close out the series Saturday night in front of friendly faces. They finished the regular season with the best record in the American League and are now the favorites to claim their second Major League Baseball championship.
