For 25 minutes, Jedrzejczyk and Weili battered and bludgeoned each other, never giving an inch in their quests for UFC gold. Jedrzejczyk was trying to recapture the title, while Weili was looking to keep 10.45 pounds of gold strapped around her waist. When the bloody mist settled, the Queen stayed the Queen, and Weili escaped UFC 248 with the strawweight strap.

Since then, Weili lost the belt to Rose Namajunas, and she stumbled during her opportunity to get it back in a rematch. Meanwhile, J?drzejczyk has taken a two-year hiatus from competing in the Octagon. With Namajunas losing the belt to Carla Esparza in May, the winner of Jedrzejczyk-Weili will likely be next in line for a shot.

After winning the first bout, Weili opening as a -150 favorite isn't surprising. That gap has widened slightly, with Weili now listed at -160 through DraftKings.

With losses to only the elite at 115 pounds, Jedrzejczyk’s blood-soaked resume includes wins over Claudia Gadelha, Tecia Torres, Jessica Andrade, and current division Queen Carla Esparza. The artist formerly known as “Joanna Champion” is quite simply one of the most terrifying strawweight fighters on the planet.

To succeed against Weili, Jedrzejczyk will need to deploy her high octane, high-volume style, punctuating combos with stinging kicks or rib-roasting body shots. Jedrzejczyk hasn’t set foot inside the Octagon since her loss to Weili in 2020, so she’ll either be rejuvenated and well-rested, or struggle with cage rust.

Like Jedrzejczyk, Weili isn’t opposed to engaging in a violent, more technical version of "Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots." “Magnum” is a physically strong 115-pounder who can bully opponents in the clinch, or piece them up at range. She also possesses knockout power, violently earning 10 of her 21 career wins via KO/TKO.

Aside from her victory over Jedrzejczyk, Weili’s list of notable victims includes Andrade when she claimed the strawweight title, Torres, and Jessica Aguilar.

Weili will need to put consistent pressure on Jedrzejczyk to neutralize her arsenal of debilitating kicks. "Magnum" throws the heavier strikes and is the physically stronger fighter. If she can get inside to land power shots and frustrate Jedrzejczyk, Weili will likely emerge with her hand raised on Saturday night.

Jedrzejczyk has taken considerable time off, but that might actually give her an advantage. Her all-action style has led to some absolute wars, so Jedrzejczyk's two-year break will allow her to return to the Octagon at full strength. Historically, Jedrzejczyk is the more accurate striker. She also lands significant strikes at a higher rate and absorbs fewer.

Even in her loss to Weili, "Joanna Violence" notched more significant strikes (186 to Weili’s 165) with higher accuracy (51% to Weili’s 40%).
