Jedd Fisch took over a Washington team that returned just two total starters and promptly stretched the Huskies’ home winning streak to 20 games (the longest ever at Husky Stadium) and a Sun Bowl appearance. Now Fisch looks to continue to make improvements with a loaded roster.
Washington’s offense improved from 104th to 17th in scoring, and its red-zone offense improved from 104th to 7th in the red zone in Fisch’s two years.
While Washington State played strong non-conference opponents tough like James Madison, Virginia and Ole Miss (it lost those games all by single digits by a combined nine points), the Huskies flexed their muscle in a 35-point head-to-head win, even though they possessed the ball for just 24 minutes.

Dezmen Roebuck to score a touchdown (+115)
Dezmen Roebuck played in all 13 games in his first year in 2025. He hauled in seven of his 42 total receptions for touchdowns, and ranked second on the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Roebuck became the first true freshman to record 100-plus receiving yards in a game for Washington since 2017. He’s expected to take the next step early on in his career and be the team’s No. 1 receiving option.
Roebuck should see plenty of looks from Demond Williams Jr., who is coming off a season with the seventh-most passing yards in Huskies history.

It would be easy to overreact to Washington's dominant 35-point victory in this rivalry and blindly say why it is the right side in the rematch. While I figure to be on the public side by laying the points with the favorites, two things working in its favor compared to last year is that the game is at home, and it is the season opener. Therefore, I'm going with the more experienced and cohesive roster to gel more quickly with this being the first game for both teams.
