The Oklahoma Sooners and Michigan Wolverines meet Saturday in one of the biggest games of the Week 2 college football slate. Kickoff is set for noon ET at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the game airing on FOX. Our top Oklahoma vs. Michigan touchdown scorer pick is quarterback John Mateer.

The dual-threat signal-caller already showed his rushing ability against the Wolverines last season, scoring twice on the ground in Oklahoma’s 24-13 victory. With Mateer’s mobility and proven success against Michigan, he offers excellent anytime touchdown upside in this highly anticipated rematch.

💰 Oklahoma vs. Michigan best touchdown bet

John Mateer is an excellent candidate to score a rushing touchdown against Michigan on Saturday. The Oklahoma quarterback already showed how dangerous he can be with his legs in last year’s matchup, rushing 19 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-13 victory over the Wolverines.

Mateer also has a proven track record as a runner, rushing for 826 yards and 15 touchdowns at Washington State in 2024 before adding eight rushing scores for Oklahoma in 2025. Michigan’s defense will have to account for Mateer on every read-option and designed quarterback run, creating opportunities near the goal line. With his rushing ability and history against this defense, Mateer has strong touchdown upside Saturday.
