Auburn vs. Georgia Prediction: Week 7 Odds, Picks & Best Bet
Last Updated: October 16, 2026 1:30 PM EDT • 2 minute read X Social Google News Link
My best Auburn vs. Georgia prediction focuses on No. 1 Georgia's defense against one of the SEC's worst offenses. I also highlight why last week's huge win over Alabama could lead to a sluggish start for Georgia's high-powered offense.
Georgia is favored by 20.5 points ahead of Saturday's 3:30 p.m. ET game at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will air on ESPN and stream on ESPN Unlimited.

Under 49.5 (-110 via FanDuel)
Auburn is averaging 26.8 points per game, which ranks 13th in the SEC. While the offense managed 39 points against Florida, the unit hasn't topped 21 in any of its other three games against Power 4 competition.
PictFresh off holding Alabama to 17 points, Georgia is allowing just 14 points per game. That's not only the best mark in the SEC, but also the 10th-best average in the country. Georgia has allowed no more than 20 points in a game, holding all four SEC opponents below their season average.
Even if Auburn's offense, which is averaging nearly 400 yards per game, moves the ball, I expect Georgia to force plenty of turnovers. Auburn has nine turnovers this season, while Georgia has forced 11.
📡 SBR Edge: Auburn's red zone struggles
Auburn has been terrible in the red zone this season, converting on just 12 of their 17 opportunities. That gives them the worst red-zone scoring percentage in the SEC. While Georgia is allowing teams to score on 91.67% of their red-zone trips, the Bulldogs have allowed just 12 red-zone chances all year. That's tied for the fewest in the SEC.
Auburn's defense is catching Georgia at the right time
Though Auburn is just 3-2, its defense allows only 4.76 yards per play. That ranks seventh in the SEC. Auburn has been particularly good against the pass, holding opponents to 6.4 yards per attempt and intercepting six passes.
Georgia is the nation's second-highest-scoring team, averaging 46.2 points per game. However, I'm expecting a slow start after a dramatic win against Alabama last week. If Georgia struggles early, Auburn's defense is good enough to get off the field. They're allowing opponents to convert just 32% of their third-down attempts, and the red-zone defense has allowed a touchdown on just 57% of chances.
Score prediction: Georgia 30, Auburn 10
