Two ranked vs. ranked matchups are on tap for Week 3 in college football, as BYU heads to Oregon and Texas A&M hosts Miami. Read on for our best against the spread bets for Week 3’s college football action.
Week 2 was a topsy-turvy week for those ranked in the AP top 10, as No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 8 Notre Dame, and No. 9 Baylor all lost outright. In addition, Alabama needed a last-second field goal to walk out of Texas with a win and failed to cover as a -20.5 point favorite.
Here are our top ATS bets for Week 3 in college football (odds via Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, and BetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Top ATS Predictions of Week 3
Oregon -3.5 (-110) ★★★
We love backing teams facing opponents coming off historic program wins, especially when pessimists are criticizing their play to this point. That could not be more true of the Oregon-BYU matchup.
The Ducks are still licking their wounds from a 49-3 drubbing against Georgia, as the Bulldogs’ 46-point win was tied for the largest by any team in a season-opening matchup between AP-ranked teams. Meanwhile, BYU won its first home game against an AP top-10 opponent (it was 0-6) since 1990 and snapped Baylor’s six-game overall winning streak, which was the third-longest active streak in FBS.
Oregon mustered just 313 total yards against Georgia, but its 4.5 yards per carry was no small feat considering how impenetrable the Bulldogs have been against the run.
BYU’s physical contest against Baylor will take its toll in this game, and we will likely be walking out even more impressed with Georgia, which walloped an Oregon team we will be higher on after this week.

Washington -2.5 (-110) ★★★★
In one of the “fishiest” lines of the week, the Huskies are favored over an 11th-ranked Spartans team that has covered the spread in each of the first two games and won by a combined 87-13.
Michigan State cleaned things up in the 52-point outburst against Akron, but quarterback Payton Thorne still finished with just a 50% completion percentage in the first game against Western Michigan. Thorne will have to be much better to keep up with Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who has six touchdowns to one interception to go along with a 183.5 quarterback rating through two games.
The Big Ten opener against rival Minnesota looms next week, so this is a tough spot for the Spartans traveling to the Northwest.
This wager is worth the extra juice at BetMGM, as it is one of the lone sportsbooks offering a line below the key number of three.
Alabama -49 (-110) ★★★
Alabama won by more than 42 points twice last year, with a theme emerging among those two blowouts. It beat Southern Mississippi by 49 a week after it beat Florida by just two points and New Mexico State by 56 a week after it beat LSU by only six.
That trend of dominating performances continued even against Georgia, as the Crimson Tide beat the eventual national champions by 17 a week after they beat Auburn by two. Clearly, Saban is a master motivator who gets the best out of his teams after “subpar” performances, which is a big reason the Crimson Tide are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games after an ATS loss. Thus, we expect Alabama to be firing on all cylinders after last week’s near disaster against Texas.
We would like this number a lot more if it was at -48.5, as there were some floating around after the line initially opened. However, that could mean the spread could drop later in the week. It is still a play at -49, even if we can't get the best number.
