Alabama +6.5 (-105 via BetMGM)

Keelon Russell has enough talent to beat any opponent he faces, which is why taking +6.5 points with Alabama feels like the right side in this matchup. Alabama's quarterback has had plenty of ups and downs in 2026, throwing for 3+ touchdowns in 3 of his previous 5 starts for the Crimson Tide.

LSU boasts a top-20 scoring defense. The Tigers also have QB Sam Leavitt under center, who has logged nearly 700 passing yards and 7 total passing touchdowns in his last 2 starts against Mississippi State and Auburn.

Alabama is in a different tier than either of those opponents Leavitt just dismantled. The Crimson Tide have held opposing quarterbacks to 1 or fewer passing touchdowns in 5 conference games, while giving up just 3.8 YPC.

LSU has dealt with less adversity than Alabama, who have repeatedly erased deficits to win games. Give me the more-tested team that is getting nearly a full touchdown on the point spread.

Bet Alabama +6.5 at -105 odds on BetMGM.

📡 SBR Edge: Crimson Tide Dominance

Alabama has won 4 of the previous 5 head-to-head games played against LSU, including 3 straight matchups, going 2-0 with head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Russell leads Alabama to a huge road win over LSU

Alabama has been searching for a big win since its 20-17 loss to Georgia. The Crimson Tide have a prime opportunity to boost its résumé by beating LSU in Baton Rouge, facing an opponent that has not played its best against top-ranked opponents this season.

Alabama's going to unlock Russell, whether with his arm or legs, to generate explosive plays. Its defense will do the rest, limiting Leavitt in the 4th quarter to wind up with a tight win, handing LSU its first home loss of 2026.

Play to: Alabama -2.5

Score prediction: Alabama 27, LSU 24
