FanDuel Expands Promotions Offer to Include NBA League Pass
FanDuel continues to revolutionize and expand the way that it rewards new and existing bettors for using what has been one of America's best betting sites.
Following its successful August promotions period in which a discounted subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket was offered to those with existing FanDuel accounts and those signing up for a new account, FanDuel is rolling out a similar perk ahead of the tip-off of the NBA season … for new and existing customers who're looking for their best NBA betting sites.
It is an initiative that hopes to get bettors in the mood for what is sure to be another nail-biting season of pro hoops action starting Tuesday, Oct. 24. FanDuel is currently the Official Sports Betting Partner of the National Basketball Association and will be looking to build on its industry-best 47% market share in America as one of our best sportsbooks.
The deal
New FanDuel users, from Oct. 19-26 are eligible for a generous $200 in bonus bets and three free months of NBA League Pass, the NBA’s subscription TV plan, if they simply place a $5 wager on the site. Existing FanDuel customers will also have access to the three free months of NBA League Pass for simply placing a $5 wager.
The deal essentially gives FanDuel users free access to NBA League Pass through Dec. 11. NBA League Pass is an added bonus that will allow FanDuel users to access out-of-market games for free, on-demand in order to track trends in the league and ultimately maximize NBA content ahead of their own wagers on the sport.
More information on the sport will, in effect, lead to a more engaged bettor. FanDuel has managed to get a jump on the competition on such engagement of its users.
Other FanDuel moves
The FanDuel NBA League Pass deal coincides with a new and exciting product being rolled out by the top sportsbook in the American market. "The Pulse" aims to give FanDuel users valuable insight into betting markets that surround key moments during the NBA season - in real time.
“FanDuel is committed to offering the top sportsbook product on the market and elevating the entertainment experience for fans this NBA season,” said Mike Raffensperger, Chief Commercial Officer, FanDuel. “This year, we’re leveraging the power of our NBA partnership and our industry-leading platform to create an ecosystem where fans can bet on pivotal moments in a game in real-time and watch to see the results, elevating their sports betting and entertainment experience.”
FanDuel, in the last 30 days has also made a move to address the ongoing issue of problem gambling through its appointment of responsible gaming ambassadors.
PGA Tour player Tom Kim and well-known U.S. soccer personality Carli Lloyd have signed on as FanDuel responsible gaming ambassadors and will take educational and responsible gaming initiatives to the broad U.S. gaming public. Recognizable former NFL star Rob Gronkowski and FanDuel TV host Kay Adams have also been added to the stable of FanDuel ambassadors.
Keeping their No. 1 spot?
FanDuel has been under assault for its No. 1 spot in the rankings of U.S. legal sports betting destinations in America. DraftKings has been closing the gap on "America's No. 1 sportsbook," forcing FanDuel to get creative in its marketing.
This is despite the betting behemoth's good first half of the year. FanDuel and its parent company, Flutter Entertainment, reported $5.8 billion in revenue for the first half of 2023, marking a 42% spike from the same reporting period last year.
FanDuel alone was responsible for about $100 million in revenue.
FanDuel has proven that it isn’t willing to rest on its status as the most popular sportsbook on American soil. It appears as though the sportsbooks will continue to adapt and revolutionize how business is done in the American market. And it appears as though the FanDuel user will continue to reap the benefits of the company’s desire to evolve.
