Sportsbooks have released rushing yardage markets for NFL running backs, which is an opportunity to see who bookmakers believe will lead the NFL in rushing yards.

It is a prime opportunity for bettors to make some early wagers at long odds, but it's also helpful for fantasy managers to check in and look at how the running backs stack up for the 2022 NFL season from another angle.

Here are the betting markets for most rushing yards at DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks:

Odds Analysis

FanDuel is offering the better number in this market almost across the board, with the lone exceptions being Eli Mitchell, Devin Singletary, and Leonard Fournette.

FanDuel is particularly bullish on Mitchell, as he's listed with the fifth-lowest odds after rushing for 87 yards per game as a rookie last year.

After leading the league in rushing yards last season, Jonathan Taylor is the favorite at both books, and two-time rushing leader Derrick Henry has the second shortest odds.

Henry out rushed Taylor on a per-game basis for what it's worth.

DraftKings has significantly lower odds for Joe Mixon, Najee Harris, Javonte Williams, and Cam Akers. Mixon, Harris, and Akers are likely to be featured in a bellcow role, whereas Williams projects to split carries with veteran Melvin Gordon again this season.

Austin Ekeler's odds to lead the NFL in rushing yards are also significantly lower at DraftKings following his career-best 2021 showing.

However, considering he's never topped 1,000 rushing yards in a season, it seems like a stretch for him to pace the league this year.
