I'm going against the Russians later tonight, just formulating if I want to go against both or one - talking about Petrova and Kuznetsova. I am fairly confident one will lose. I would go hard against Kuznetsova if she was playing during the day, but her match is likely to get some heat relief. If she was one slot earlier, I think she'd fall 100% since she retired from the heat in Sydney last week. Still probably gonna go against her because she isn't that reliable. Think the heat could play on Petrova too first-up potentially.

I'm on Hlavackova straight up. Do not trust Petrova at all, tasty odds too, she's also had some games under her belt, to get accustomed to the conditions.

I was zipping between Rod Laver and Margaret Court and it was bad. Hisense might be better because it's shielded a bit more from the Yarra. There were points though that when we were trying to walk the wind was pushing us back. Like I said though, I haven't watched any since I've been home so I'll need to turn the tv on and see.

LoL. Fukk no. I am not a fan. I do think he'll probably take a set though. Shari's bake sale comments will make me take Scheepers regardless of the time. I know it will not be as hot as the sun starts going down, but Sveta showed she is weak minded in the heat already ... so -1 when you're already mentally down if it's even a tad bit hot.

Something to keep in mind about Melbourne: The heat and sun is completely different to up north. So whereas you guys will feel the hottest between 10-2 or so, here it's more like 11 to 6, if not later. Definitely 4:30 onwards is the hottest part of the day... even if it doesn't say it on the thermometer (although it usually does), especially in the CBD that's when you'll feel it the most.

Yeah I've been betting but I've been running around a lot so I can't get to the spreadsheet in time. I was on Navarro earlier, on Ito, Russell, Vasselin, Dubois and JCF. Yesterday was good with a few of the early dogs I hit but then I pissed some back with the Paire handicap and that Polish dude against Young later on.

It's bloody hot here honestly. I just went outside to grab the mail and it's heating up even worse. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them start dropping like flies - either retiring or just getting blown out.

Really we need to be smart here for the matches that will be around 4-8pm my time (midnight to 4am Eastern). Who's weak in the heat/not in shape? I just put a bit on Murray not to win 3-0. Don't have much faith in Harrison but Murray's a puss at the best of times.

My guess would be yes. Some of these matches should've been much closer than they ended up. I wonder if unders are the way to go rather than what I was thinking?

Can't believe Youzhny dropped two sets to Golubev. I feel really good fading both Petrova & Kuznetsova based on your info now. I think one wins and that's a profit if they go 1-1. I agree on Murray. I am not a fan of Harrison, but I think that he probably takes a set ... although Harrison might wilt in the heat. One thing about Murray, he's a fit fukk even with all his "gamesmanshit" ... yes shit.

Yeah I just tailed on the women. May as well. For all we know Petrova and Kuzzy will surprise us and turn up in the form of their lives but I doubt it. It's at least worth a try considering how some of these matches are turning out.

Did you see that comment on TI asking if Rosol had strings in his racquet?
