As I was about to collect my hefty winnings from betting Stosur in today's match (thanks Shari!), I was thinking it would be nice to get her at -130 or -120 to win the finals. But she is -400 which to me is unbettable. So... maybe take a longshot?

Opinions?

I changed my opinion and went heavy on Stosur -5.5 and Stosur 2-0 sets. So... any chance either of these players retires?...

Well, not the best result for me but it could've been worse. Won the over, Schiavone handicap and a small hedge I put in but lost more than I should've on live betting. Congrats to Schiavone though - she took advantage of Sam's lapses and overwhelmed her.

Yeah I don't trust any Australian tennis players. If she were from any other country I probably would've bet a lot more on this match but the Aussies seem to screw me over more often than not.

Soderling will get 10 aces at most in the whole match.

In the AFL, I trust the players to do as they should for the most part. Not Aussie tennis players

I think you and I are just taking a different angle on how the court will affect each player. Yeah, the court is going to take away some of the strength of Soderling's serve but it's also going to give him just a little bit longer to set himself up on defence and ready himself to make a great return shot. Plus a wet court is going to affect the success of Nadal's topspin which is one of his biggest weapons. Considering how tall Soderling is and the fact that Rafa has more problems with the giants than anyone else, each time he tries to hit a topspin shot he'll be playing right into Soderling to drive it back at him. I'm not saying Nadal is going to lose. I'm just saying I wouldn't be that surprised if he did. He's saying that he's in great condition yet he's dropped more games than he did 2 years ago to lesser ranked players. I hope he wins but I suspect if he does it's going to be a bit tougher for him than you may think!

I agree with most of this post except the bolded part. Soderling has never had a problem with Nadal's spin because he can hit a winner from above his shoulder anyway. I think Soderling's serve has been huge for him and he will not have that advantage today. We'll see. I see Nadal winning 3-1.

But if Soderling covers as well then I'll have made a little over 3x which I'm cool with. If not, 1x is better than if that fukker Nadal wins in straight sets and I have to live bet like a mofo.
