if you take 100 to win 215 and win then your profit is only 115 if you dump 100 on the 440 as well. If you win on the 440 then your profit is only 340. Basically you are risking 200 to either win 115 or 340. Not usually smart to go both. Just bet 3 sets if that's what you think.

Well, I personally only seeing this go one of 2 ways: Either Woz completely destroys her quickly in 2 or Elena manages to hang in there with some well-placed shots and makes it competitive. If you think Elena may be recapturing some of her old form and just want some action on the match, I'd probably put a little on the 2-1's and not even watch the match because if it does go to 3, it won't be pretty.

If you want to even further minimise your outlay though you can always just take the over or the 3 set option as dl suggested.

one more question:

how do you find surface records for women? On the ATP site, it's easy to find for men, but on the WTA site, I don't see it.

I'm looking at Petrova/Kirilenko.

Both went three sets in the opening round and rolled after that.

I use TennisInsight and OnCourt which is a database downloaded to your computer. The downside is they both charge a fee.

Other than that, I honestly don't know but if no one comes up with a free solution for you just shoot me a PM or post in here and I'll send you over the info.

Holy jeez. I'm trying to compile my record from the beginning of this thread even though I never thought I'd bother. Thought this thread would die out by now but since it hasn't I figure it's time I at least produce a record for anyone who may pop in here. I play sooooooooo many dogs.

I just found a big one on the first couple of pages that hit - Rodianova +575. Sadly I only took her for 0.5.

Yeah, if I was going to do this I should've just done it from the beginning but this was supposed to be a one day thread.

I have my own personal record but the problem is I don't post every one of my plays or the units anymore so that doesn't help me with this thread. What a mess - so many plays and I'm still in May.

I've only recently started to 'try' to keep an accurate record of what I bet. So far it's comparable to getting my tooth pulled - without anethesia. Having to keep track takes a lot of wind out of degenerate gambling. When I am about to bet every other tennis match on the board on Monday, one quick thought of having to then catalogue them all stops me in my tracks. Highly recommended to anyone who tries to bet 'seriously'.

DeBakker is De Sucking It Up all over the court, hopefully Troicki plays well and you (we) take 2 out of 3. That would eek out a small profit, even with the chalk.

I was on Petrova pretty big because of TB and so even if DeBakker, continues to De Suck, I'll still come out nice with a Troicki win.

How does that even happen? I swear if I had money on him and was at the match I'd probably have to pay double whatever I bet in fines. Exactly why I try to never bet any of the Aus Open matches I go to - I wouldn't be able to hold back from going ballistic.

I will. I'll post some of them in my thread and others I'll just dabble with on my own.

Bad lesson in chalk yesterday but I managed to make some cash on the women (the over today and little bets on both 2-1) and have made a decent sized bet on Stak although it's a bit scary since Istomin seems to have an uncanny knack of scraping through matches.

Hey guys - Only 14hrs and 10 minutes to go until the first round kicks off!! I'm just finishing the write-ups for the 2 contests and then I'll start looking at matches. I have already put in Dushevina because I wanted to grab that one early in case the price drops but I haven't looked too closely at much else yet.
