Bartoli in the heat = burnt crepe. My fault for thinking she had finally overcome her conditioning issues and could manage to charge on when she gets a bit hot especially in a match against an opponent who is obviously not 100%. If you look at some of Bartoli's past results and see the amount of times she's retired in hot weather, you'll be shocked. Of course, she decided to just play this one out instead. Silly cow.

Nice to see Petrova come through and Woz get the 'victory' she needed in this tournament. Nothing fishy there at all.

Crystal Lily - Gate 10 in a 1400m race. It concerns me a lot that shes going to have to go forward. it could work well if she gets some cover because there is some pace outside her, so she could get a good run into the race. what a spanner in the works... very strong field IMO too.

Definitely going to be a good race. It's nice to see though that I managed to get her @ $8.00 when she's sitting at $5.00 now. Hopefully she pulls it out! And thank you for the PMs - I'm shockingly behind in answering them and each time I go in to start replying, I get another one which just puts me in the hole even more. I do read each of them though even if I'm a bit lacking in the response department.

I'm sick of giving money to my book the past 2 weeks when I've been burned by too many 3rd set tiebreak losses or have managed to win matches by fluke that I shouldn't have. Especially during the minor tournaments, I've lost too much money now by picking 4 out of 5 winners on the day for example but only ending up with 2 wins and 2 losses because of who I stuck together in a parlay. Next week when we can be sure 99% of the players are motivated to win their matches, I'll probably play parlays a bit more but for the rest of this week, I'm going to stick with laying the chalk.

I swear to you that I had both the 2-1's pending for ages while I looked at the other matches and right when I was going to submit, I had a terrible vision of the total hitting in 2 just to screw me over every which way. So I chickened out and laid the chalk although I'm beginning to fear a replay of yesterday with one of them getting it quickly in 2.
